We performed a comparison between CrowdStrike Falcon and Sophos EPP Suite based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The setup is pretty simple."
"The console is easy to read. I also like the scanning part and the ability to move assets from one to the other."
"The stability is very good."
"It is very easy to set up. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a ten out of ten, with ten being very easy to set up."
"Additionally, when it comes to EDR, there are more tools available to assist with client work."
"We have FortiEDR installed on all our systems. This protects them from any threats."
"Forensics is a valuable feature of Fortinet FortiEDR."
"Having all monitoring, response, tracking, and mitigation tools in one dashboard provides our analysts and SOC team with a comprehensive view at a glance."
"The scalability is good."
"This solution has made the lives of the IT staff much easier, compared to the previous one."
"I have found the connection to search the hosts for detections very useful in CrowdStrike Falcon."
"I like the detection rates of mobile threats."
"I like the vulnerability assessment and proactive hunting features of CrowdStrike Falcon."
"This solution consistently releases improvements. They have communicated their next two years of development which is powerful and covers all of our needs."
"Regarding features, I appreciate its integration capabilities with identity providers...Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"As long as the machine is connected to the Internet, and CrowdStrike is running, then it will be on and we will have visibility; no VPNing in or making some type of network connection. CrowdStrike always there and running in the background; for us, that is big. We wanted something that could give us data as long as the machines connected to the Internet and be almost invisible to the employees."
"The solution's most valuable aspect, for us, is the DLP portion of the product."
"Great cloud management."
"In terms of the Firewall, the EAP assist, the simple interface and the reporting features are quite good for clients. It's very easy to understand and to navigate the Dashboard."
"It's very light on the endpoints."
"It is doing its job. We use it for standard antivirus purposes and for making sure that people aren't downloading infected attachments. Because we use the cloud version, it is easy to maintain. We don't have to do anything to really maintain it. It gets updated automatically."
"Sophos EPP Suite stands out with its user-friendly dashboard and strong web filtering features for enhanced online security."
"The most valuable feature of Sophos EPP Suite is the accounting and reporting services are good and professional. The business features of the solution are very useful, such as the reporting page for clients. It provides a clear understanding of usage, including how much traffic has been used and how much is remaining. Additionally, it's user-friendly and easy to understand. Overall, the solution is good, useful, and has a helpful user interface."
"Our experience with Sophos has been notable; it's database-driven and efficiently integrates to inspect and protect us against biases, malware, and attacks."
"I haven't seen the use of AI in the solution."
"Detections could be improved."
"Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later."
"Everything with Fortinet having to do with their cloud services. They need to invest more in their internal infrastructure that they are running in the cloud. One of the things I find with their cloud environment compared to others' is that they go cheap on the equipment. So it causes some performance degradation."
"The support needs improvement."
"We find the solution to be a bit expensive."
"Cannot be used on mobile devices with a secure connection."
"ZTNA can improve latency."
"CS Falcon sensing capabilities for non-domain machines should be enhanced since the agent doesn't detect the neighbor's IP Address and/or any anomaly which was identified in the network for the non-domain machine."
"On the firewall management side, there should be more granularity. There should also be more granularity for device control. Everything else is brilliant."
"Crowdstrike Falcon XDR can improve the integration. There are some locks on the cloud to on-premise integrations."
"The Integration with tools, SOC tools, could be better."
"Dashboard creation is one of the areas for improvement in CrowdStrike Falcon. Sometimes, management asks for a custom dashboard, so my team has to collect data from CrowdStrike Falcon, integrate that in Splunk, then create the dashboard in Splunk. The Splunk dashboard is more elaborate, so the CrowdStrike Falcon dashboard needs improvement. Another area for improvement in the tool is the malware detection report, as it needs to be more detailed and include some graphics so that if you want to present that data in a nutshell, it's easier to do. For example, the report should consist of some graphical representation that shows a month's worth of data. In terms of an additional feature I'd like CrowdStrike Falcon to have, it's the device posture assessment feature that detects the device posture within the network. Whichever device connects to the corporate network, my company should be able to analyze the device posture. Then there should be communication with the network, which means that as soon as a device connects, CrowdStrike Falcon can assess the device posture, detect its corporate asset, and decide whether it should be allowed on the network."
"The current database schema presents challenges and has potential for improvement."
"The product could be more accurate in terms of performance."
"CrowdStrike Falcon could improve by having an easier way to search and use the interface for extracting queries from the data. The interface could improve."
"There could be an equipment inventory feature for the solution."
"Lacks delegated administration privileges for large organizations, and differential permissions for admins."
"The logging issues must be fixed."
"The solution could be more stable."
"The product's filtering and stability can be better."
"The solution could improve on the resource management, it is a bit heavy on the resources."
"We need to uninstall the license to move to another endpoint."
"In my country, having an on-premises deployment model is preferred. In this part of the world, on-premises is still the way many companies want to go. Therefore, they should supply some sort of option that allows for that reality."
