Cons
"Technical support needs to be improved."

More Fujitsu Jujitsu Data Deduplication Appliance Cons →

"When it comes to upgrading, it always goes block-wise. One block is 48 TB raw capacity. It would be good if they can include a smaller capacity for SMB customers. Currently, it is not possible to increase in a smaller capacity. You have to buy the exact same unit. It would be great if they can provide a smaller next block. There are around 20 hard disks, and it would be really helpful if we can add 10 hard disks initially and 10 hard disks later.""Some high-level cybersecurity features could be achieved with some entities, and their integration could be built into the store.""The solution's technical support should be faster.""HPE should have more options so customers can choose from a wide range of products with small to big capacities.""In terms of areas for improvement, I believe HPE StoreOnce could learn from competitors like Dell's Data Domain and ExtraHop in refining its architecture.""Hardware maintenance involves some downtime for backup destination storage which can be a problem for some.""The solution's pricing could be improved.""The GUI and its user-friendliness have some room for improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

  • "The price puts me off. It's definitely on the high side."
  • "To be honest, we were quite happy with the price, but we always want things cheaper than they are. I think for what we got, we felt that the price was quite reasonable comparing it to other products that provide that same level of functionality."
  • "There are costs for additional storage and space."
  • "Price-wise, it comes with a high price tag when compared to other products."
  • "The cost of HPE StoreOnce is very expensive."
  • "We have got a perpetual license, and we have access to all the features. If you are using cloud banks, you can store the internal data in HPE Cloud if needed. You can offload the data to the HPE Cloud. It is a licensed product. We have got around 10 TB of cloud bank storage with a one-time payment. We specifically took 10 TB for very critical offsite backups. We can also increase it in blocks if needed."
  • "The licensing schemes could improve in HPE StoreOnce and the price is high. They should reduce the price."
  • "I think the product is competitive in terms of pricing. Other products like the one from Dell are costlier compared to the tool."
