We performed a comparison between Grafana and InfoVista 5View NetFlow based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic and others in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability."It is a stable, reliable product."
"It has good stability."
"What I found most valuable in Grafana is that it has a lot of integrations and features that I need for data processing and visualization."
"The most valuable thing was that it had a good visualization tool."
"The comparison feature is very good."
"This solution provides valuable insights into the health of our infrastructure in real time."
"It gives us the visibility we need. I like that when we add deployment markers or release markers, we know exactly when an issue arises. For instance, if there is an increased usage of CPU, we can link it directly to the deployment that might have caused the issue. It increases productivity and observability. We can now easily tell when a certain issue arises. It's way easier to debug because it can point you to certain things based on these markers, and we can debug easier."
"There are multiple kinds of models there to create dashboards, which is quite useful."
"InfoVista 5View NetFlow allows us to control the application layer and manage API connections, i.e. Facebook logins or whatever other third-party API services we require."
"Grafana doesn't provide anything for reporting."
"Multiple dashboards combined into one dashboard has slowed things down for us."
"The formatting could be better."
"One area for improvement in Grafana is that depending on your version, you have to pay for the features, making the license expensive. It would be great if the licensing model could be more flexible. In the next release of Grafana, I want cluster creation to be available, which would help in Grafana deployment and scaling. Currently, the scaling process for the solution is a bit complicated."
"There are some areas of network drives that are not showing as expected based on server usage."
"The security needs to be improved, such as the capacity to add permissions on dashboards."
"Writing queries can be a bit difficult because the syntax must be maintained."
"The solution must provide tutorials and guides."
"A little bit better documentation on the details is needed because this subject is not easy sometimes to understand, which limits the capability of the software."
