We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The configuration is really easy and the web portal is self-explanatory.""With Kemp 360 Central, our customers get a nice overview of their Kemp products and an easy way to upgrade firmware on all devices from a single interface.""The most valuable feature so far has been the high-availability options that allowed us to add an additional Kemp LoadMaster VLM virtual appliance into our VMware vSphere environment, to provide failover for our existing LoadMaster.""The Global WAF has saved us more than one time from unwanted traffic.""Exchange load balancing and reverse proxy for Skype for Business are key features.""It has been functional. We don't have any outages.""Simple to install with good documentation.""The most valuable feature is the load balancing and allowing for high availability of our web services."

"The pricing is quite good.""The solution provides great automation and it is easy to upgrade service.""The most valuable feature is WAF.""The solution was very easy to configure. It wasn't hard at all to adjust it to our needs.""Azure Application Gateway's most valuable feature is ease of use. The configuration is straightforward. It isn't difficult to adjust the size of your instances in the settings. You can do that with a few clicks, and the configuration file is the same way. You can also set rules and policies with minimal time and effort.""The solution's most valuable feature is an HTTP solution and SSL certificate. It is also easy to use.""We use the product in front-end and back-end applications to do the load balancing smartly.""This is a SaaS product, so it is always up to date."

Cons
"The product is really good as-is out of the box. If there is one thing I would change is to have the license file not be coupled with the MAC address of the device. This is actually not really useful in a virtual environment where if you have a single VM with KEMP LoadMaster and you have not set up static MAC Address, if you, for example, recreate the VM and just load the disk file on a new VM it will get new MAC address and the NLB will not work as it will not see a proper license.""The only thing that I miss is that the TMG server was giving me live information about who is connected and what is the request about.""If there is anything that needs to be updated, the GUI can get a refresh to make it look more like 2020, although it is just a cosmetic change.""It has all types of logs and they are very detailed, but it's a little bit hard to search for a single event.""Over the last several major versions, the GUI has remained virtually unchanged and still seems lacking.""I really don't like the way the logs are presented in the software.""I think there should be more visual instructions on how to configure advanced features.""SNMP and/or RESTCONF management, in order to collect many counters, for plotting in a central application need to be improved."

More Kemp LoadMaster Cons →

"It takes a lot of time for a certificate to update in the system. That is a huge drawback, affecting the load-balancing side. And when there are changes to the load balancing, it affects the end-user.""Microsoft Azure Application Gateway is harder to manage than Imperva. It is not intuitive and stable compared to other products.""The solution has many limitations. You cannot upgrade the VPN to the application gateway. So I started with version one, which has limited capabilities, and they provided version two. And unfortunately, I cannot upgrade from v one to v two like other services. So I have to decommission the version one and create a new one with version two. Also the version one was complex with the certificates uploading the SQL certificates.""The solution doesn’t support wildcard-based and regular expression-based rules.""The tool's pricing could be improved.""I believe that there is room for improvement in terms of additional functionality. It is an advantage to have features readily available for configuration without needing customer-defined rules.""The support can be improved when you are configuring the system rules. The Disaster Recovery feature can be added in the next release. The price of the solution can be reduced a bit.""One of the challenges we faced was the solution does not support any other PCP protocols apart from HTTP and HTTPS."

    Overview

Kemp LoadMaster is a powerful load balancing solution that also serves as a web application firewall. Its primary use case is load balancing and application load balancing, making it an ideal solution for organizations that must distribute traffic across multiple servers. Kemp's integration with an active directory for ESP usage, hosting/deployment of SSL certificates, and pricing are some of its most valuable features.

Using Kemp has helped organizations mitigate cross-scripting vulnerabilities, cookie-related issues, and content security policy issues. It has also allowed them to handle everything with Kemp instead of working on each application individually.

Azure Application Gateway is a web traffic load balancer that enables you to manage traffic to your web applications. Traditional load balancers operate at the transport layer (OSI layer 4 - TCP and UDP) and route traffic based on source IP address and port, to a destination IP address and port.
