Pros
"I am impressed with the tool's user authentication, compatibility , and policies.""For me, the main strengths of Microsoft Dynamics NAV are that it's user-friendly and light. These are its major wins. I have used other ERPs and their architecture were a little more complex when compared to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV architecture.""The most valuable features of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central are the dashboards, ease of use, and flexibility.""The most valuable feature of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is its ease of use, data customization, and smooth integration.""Has good integration with Power BI.""The most valuable feature of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is the Teams application. I use Teams to share documents amongst my team members, have meetings, and talk to them.""The security feature, particularly the encryption, which still builds sensitivity, is one of the most valuable features.""One developer is enough to maintain the solution. Microsoft 365 is changing technology. The product is a user-friendly ERP solution."

Cons
"Any request that had come from the website had to go through an e-form which was then plugged into Microsoft Dynamics NAV. There was no direct data capture. That was the pain point, where clients had to build e-forms, and that caused delays in transactions and getting information.""We need to customize more often than we would like.""They need to improve their processes.""One aspect that could be improved in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is the visibility and accessibility of communication-related features, such as email integration.""The product should improve work optimization.""I would like a more modular and user-friendly interface.""The solution is stable, but it could improve.""Microsoft Dynamics NAV will be replaced with Office 365 in the future."

More Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Cons →

"When there is a system error it provides an error code and a lot of times these can be complicated. The support team could have more knowledge to be able to assist with these situations more promptly.""Lacks sufficient technical support with slow response times.""I do not have any notes for improvements.""The product can be a little slow when dealing with thousands of employee data.""The initial setup is complex.""Their support should be improved. Instead of giving a general solution, their consultants should first try to understand the problem and then resolve the same. They should properly investigate the issue before providing the solution.""SAP ERP could improve by having better integration with other platforms.""Improvements to the UI. The UI is pretty old, but this will change with the upcoming release of S.4."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The first time we tried to buy the newest version, it was expensive."
  • "I have some subscription-based customer and a few customers who have perpetual licenses that hosted the application on the cloud."
  • "The price of the solution is reasonable."
  • "The price of the solution is reasonable."
  • "I think the pricing is the best; it's cost effective for sure."
  • "Microsoft Dynamics NAV has a pay-as-you-use payment model."
  • "NAV might be a little pricey for a small or medium-sized company, but all the solutions out there are."
  • "The cost is one of the benefits. If you don't want to go for the full-blown finance and operations, the pricing model is a lot cheaper and has now switched to being based on a per-user subscription. So, if it's on cloud, you now have an expense instead of a large CapEx. If it's on-prem, you obviously still have to continue with the licensing model that they have, but if you compare the features and functionality, in terms of the price that you pay, I find it's better than other products. My answer on the pricing would be slightly different, depending on the country you're in and the return on investment, based on the size of the company. It's well-priced internationally. I think the new model is priced even better because it's now subscription-based and, if you go for cloud, the return on investment is a lot quicker and if it's expense, you can cap it. If you do take the on-prem version, the licensing is still priced as what it used to be, so that would depend on what country you are in."

  • "SAP ECC is not cheap but I consider it the best system for managing an organization's data and processes."
  • "This is a costly product."
  • "There are licensing costs."
  • "Some components are available at an additional cost, depending on the type of contract that you have."
  • "The licensing costs are slightly on the higher side. They need to make it more competitive."
  • "SAP is a bit on the costly side, but they also provide support and other things. We are paying for licenses and the use of the cloud."
  • "SAP ERP is expensive."
  • "When you have a solution that is stable, reliable, and has a high performance as this solution, the price is going to be expensive. However, when you evaluate the service you are paying for the cost is quite reasonable for this solution."
