Pros
"It provides private network access, helping us protect our company’s devices.""The most valuable feature of Juniper Mist is the Virtual Network Assistant, powered by artificial intelligence.""The most valuable feature of the solution is Marvis, the AI-driven network management system.""Juniper Mist offers valuable features like comprehensive network insight, granular policy control, fast device setup, strong security, and efficient SSL traffic management.""You can easily monitor, manage, and cover all your IT equipment.""In terms of reporting, in terms of all the user reports, it's very rich.""The most valuable feature of Juniper Wireless Access Points (AP Series) is the ability to troubleshoot ports on the network. Additionally, when there is an update on the APs they are able to reboot quickly reducing downtime. Other solutions have a longer downtime when updates are done.""With Mist, every Wednesday they roll out new features."

"The initial setup of NETGEAR Insight Access Points was straightforward.""[Being] able to configure the WiFi devices and to see utilization remotely, or from the cloud.""From the WiFi aspect, it's very intuitive and easy to use. The solution enables me to manage my entire WiFi from anywhere in the world...""The product's deployment is straightforward.""The internet connectivity is good.""The metrics demonstrate that NETGEAR really does a good job of balancing the load between the various access points on the networks and this results in an elimination of downtime.""Our company sometimes uses the solution's technical support, and we have seen that they sort out our general problems quickly.""We use NETGEAR's Insight management solution to do off-property controls. It is user-friendly and provides network management, monitoring, and service deployment across multiple remote and local sites. That means I don't have to be physically at a location to do things if I want to make any changes to the network. It saves time and money."

"I am familiar with the brand and it works well.""Ruckus WAPs have excellent coverage and their beamforming means that we can cover more area with fewer WAPs.""Its roaming capabilities and the fact that we can have redundant backup controllers are the most valuable. There is a backup controller that is heart beated to the primary. It is also fairly easy to install.""At times of heavy network congestion, we can restrict the bandwidth available to clients either by SSID or at the client level, which helps cut down on our bandwidth costs.""For me, the most valuable features are good integration with the customer's existing network and the ease of deployment and configuration. Ruckus products are also easy to learn to manage and deploy for not only our own staff, but also for the IT workers in the customer's organization.""The solution has an easy configuration.""The solution is very user-friendly.""The solution is very stable. I've worked with it at a hospital before, where we deployed it all over the hospital. It worked everywhere and continuously worked flawlessly."

Cons
"It would be helpful to have even stronger security features to help protect against interference from other nearby access points that aren't part of our network.""Improving third-party integration is key for Juniper Mist's next release.""The price could be better.""The pricing is very high in the Indian market.""There is room for improvement in terms of support and installation.""I need a bit more time with it before criticizing the features.""The product should include adaptive Wi-Fi to show a more accurate location.""If you want to do more specific stuff, it's a bit limited."

"The biggest issue I've had is that it works very well with the WiFi, but it does not offer any assistance at all with the routers. You can't control them or manage them at all. As soon as you want to use anything on the network side—because I have multiple 28-port switches—you can't manage them using this app.""I have some frustrations with the ease of use. It tends to be sluggish. The graphical interface is pretty, but not useful. They have this tree that shows connected devices, which makes no sense whatsoever because the labeling field of the tree truncates all the items to the point that it's almost useless. You can't even tell what it is. I would prefer a spreadsheet list of the gear as opposed to a graphical representation.""The registration is annoying. I have to go back to NETGEAR and log tickets. Access points and router registration are something that they need to address in Insight. They need to fix the bug of getting the devices activated and enrolled in Insight without fighting with them. I have probably done about six of these in the last month. You get to see patterns.""My major problem is right now, the area which I need to cover is around 7,000 to 10,000 square feet...I would like NETGEAR Insight Access Points to extend the area coverage they provide.""There is always room for improvement.""The product's UI needs to be simplified and made more straightforward.""A con is the backend system which is very, very slow.""Software-wise, they need to provide the ability to kick users out. If multiple users are abusing the system or the network, I should be able to block them for a time and, when I need to unblock them, I should be able to do so by using their MAC ID. That feature might already be there and I just don't know about it."

More NETGEAR Insight Access Points Cons →

"APs should be more adaptable to denser client regions and, most important, the logs on the ZoneDirector should be classified into groups, such as type of logs and alerts.""The pricing of the product can be a bit expensive. They should work on making pricing more competitive.""Previously, we would need to purchase appliances every time but it caused our data centers to get filled. Ruckus now has cloud-based controllers. They resolved the issue we were having.""The tool needs to incorporate training. Also, it needs to improve the range of coverage.""There is some strain with Ruckus because of various buyouts involving the company used for data centers and the cluster.""It could be cheaper.""I would like to see more location-based services on the Smart Cell Insight on access points.""An area for improvement in Ruckus Wireless is automating its guest WiFi access function. Currently, the product requires token generation, so it would be better if there's a portal for the guest to log in and get the password rather than the IT team needing to give passwords to guests."

  • "I rate the pricing an eight out of ten."
  • "The pricing is fair."

  • "Price-wise, it is a little too high, about $20 higher than what it should be, but it's worth it. It's cheaper than Cisco's access point, but the products are not apples to apples."
  • "It wasn't much more than 100 dollars a year. For the devices that we have, the pricing was pretty fair."
  • "The pricing seems to be reasonable."
  • "For what you get, the price of Insight access points is very reasonable."
  • "Their pricing is perfect for smaller businesses who are money and budget conscious. There are a lot of other solutions out there that are two to three times more expensive."
  • "I can source the stuff pretty quickly wherever I go through the distributor. There is pricing available at NETGEAR if you can spend between $2,000 and $5,000 on a solution. So, there is special pricing that they can help with. The vendor's reps are very responsive. They have a good channel system."
  • "It is an expensive solution."
  • "My company does not need to pay anything related to the solution's licensing costs."
  • More NETGEAR Insight Access Points Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The cost can be prohibitive for many as it is a high-end product in the WiFi market."
  • "Pricing is very competitive for an enterprise solution. Regarding licensing, always carry the support contract on the controller (not needed on APs)."
  • "It's definitely a good value. It's more expensive than some of the other offerings out there, but when you compare it to other enterprise-class gear, it's very well priced. And the beauty of it is, because it has better range because of their patented BeamFlex - which is the way they can send and receive and listen to signals - you can actually use fewer access points. That means that it's a cheaper overall project."
  • "The only complaint I have about Ruckus is the price, but considering other enterprise WiFi products are similarly priced, I feel Ruckus is a superior product."
  • "The cost per AP license should be worked on."
  • "We found it a little more expensive than the other competitors on the market."
  • "We also looked at Cisco and Aruba but Ruckus pricing was better."
  • ""The biggest adjustment improvement will come from a price adjustment because the price is quite high; it feels like premium pricing. I suggest shaving off 10 percent to 20 percent. That would help grow users and increase the number of clients.""
