Find out in this report how the two Cloud Monitoring Software solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."One of the valuable features is the diversity of metrics available to us to monitor. It's all there, it's all in the box. It's all made very easy, by virtue of it being pre-configured."
"The feature I like is that it can easily do a lot of mapping."
"Accessibility, ease of use (Web GUI, MobileApps). In general, compared with other software"
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The network visualization helps us to drill down deeper."
"The real-time monitoring and alerting are its most valuable features."
"The bandwidth monitoring is a very attractive feature, it can tell you the bandwidth utilization while it is attempting to connect to the host for feedback."
"My opinion is that this solution is not very expensive."
"Setting up Veeam is easy, and it's portable, too."
"Veeam ONE is a straightforward solution and compatible with almost all hardware."
"The solution offers a very straightforward setup."
"It has been useful for monitoring, troubleshooting, and assessing our environment, as well as for investigating bottlenecks."
"I don't have to go back and forth between different applications to get the report I need."
"The initial setup was straightforward."
"I like the backup and backup copy features."
"Veeam One is easy to use. You don't need to get very technical or specific class training. Anyone can start using it."
"PRTG Network Monitor is okay to use, but you'll need some time to analyze the data. If it can automatically locate or identify the problem area, it would be more helpful to users."
"PRTG access works best from the web GUI. There are dedicated apps on Windows/Android/iOS, but they are slow and don’t work as well as the web GUI."
"This product can be improved by updating the net flow interface. The one that is in place works – I can get all the information I need from it – but it is a little bit clunky."
"Performance-wise, PRTG Network Monitor still needs improvement because a large number of SNMPv3 queries reduces tool performance."
"PRTG Network Monitor could improve by having a feature to allow uploading of preset standard network switch configurations and the ability to monitor the SLA configuration, such as uptime for the switches or internet connectivity. This would be very useful."
"Improvements in data storage flexibility, such as allowing customers to specify data retention periods, would enhance PRTG."
"The free version only gives us 100 free sensors to use. It would be nice if there was double that."
"With custom sensors, there is a lot of work which needs to be done in the background, just for it to be tailor-made for the specific thing that we are actually monitoring. We take a lot of time with the custom sensors. I would like to see the customer sensor be more robust and a bit more varied."
"Perhaps the interface could be improved, though it has always been fine for me."
"When you have to renew the licenses you sometimes have some trouble getting rid of the old one and reassigning it to the new one. That's an aspect that could run smoother and could be better."
"Veeam ONE could be improved if it had a better data recovery feature."
"The solution could improve the performance. We are not able to check the status of any system. Additionally, if there was an option to monitor server clusters it would be helpful."
"The solution is not very good at backing up the physical Linux systems."
"I am highly dissatisfied with their customer support approach."
"It would be great if Veeam ONE had a business hour reporting feature because sometimes a client would want to know what workers do during business hours and outside of business hours. This type of report will give you the added benefit when you're scaling up and scaling down in the cloud, for example, if I wanted to swap hot and cold storage during specific hours to save on cost. Business hour reporting in Veeam ONE will give you a lot of benefits and added value. Scalability needs to be improved in the solution."
"Veeam ONE should make available notifications through SMS."
