Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Without a doubt, the most valuable aspect of this solution is the reports, as it offers endless possibilities for report customization. You can easily build any report you can imagine with this system.""The report builder and dashboard builder are very, very good.""The reporting features are also very valuable because, on top of 300+ reports available on the system, you can also customize quite a number of reports.""The most valuable feature of Sage People is the integration with our payroll system.""I guess I would say maybe that it is a more robust system.""The most valuable features of Sage People are the reports that are useful for decision-making and the API that can be integrated well. Additionally, the solution can be accessed from mobile devices onto the cloud.""The solution's initial setup was straightforward.""The solution is beneficial overall."

"It's a fully consolidated system. All the transactions and configuration are co-located in one fully in-memory system, so there is no need to go to different data sources (multiple DBs) to pull data; it’s all in one place.""There is a lot to like about it. I really enjoy the business process framework. It's something that's really seamless. It allows you to have people within the flow. They get assigned a task to complete something to approve, etc. That's a really good piece of functionality that Workday offers. Their out-of-the-box reporting framework is also really powerful in terms of what it provides. These would be two things that I would highlight.""It's intuitive, a very usable tool and it's easy to find the data you're looking for.""The reporting feature is quite easy for a layman to use, and the look and feel of the application is good. Its security is robust. You will never find a use case that cannot be covered.""I would say that we have definitely seen a return on investment.""The solution is stable.""It saves a lot of time for onboarding processes.""The most valuable feature of Workday is the ease of use which is overall user-friendly."

Cons
"The budget module does not work. Sage People need to maybe make it more user-friendly.""Its technical support could have been better.""Right now, Sage doesn't seem to have what we are looking for when it comes to managing HR tickets. In my previous experiences with other HR software, we had to buy another solution to obtain this functionality, and it would be a great feature for Sage to consider adding. For an HR system, Sage would do very well to include it.""The user interface is not great.""Its stability could be better.""The integration with our payroll system could improve. However, it is managed by another company.""There were a couple of things that we wanted to customize, but we couldn’t do it ourselves.""In my opinion, the performance management module of this system could use improvement as it falls behind compared to other specialized performance management platforms."

"They don't have worker payroll in the product. We have to solve our payroll. I hope one day they will be able to have their own localized standard payrolls for all countries.""The solution has some features missing when you put them in the test studio or Confluence Studio. I would like the tool’s coding to be easier to understand and automated. Most of the coding these days is automated. Any query given can pull the answer directly which can make the solution easier to understand.""The security console should be made less complex.""Analytical tools have needed improvement. Workday has just released Prism Analytics, to replace the current analytical tools, so it’s in the early stages.""This solution could be improved by providing user-level access to customization capabilities. Users currently rely on more technical teams to customize reports, for example.""The user interface could be modernized somehow.""The user interface could be better. Everything else was fine.""It's possible that the way things are integrated could be improved"

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "I believe we pay licensing on a yearly basis, but I can't comment on the total amount that we pay on licensing."
  • "From an SME standpoint, I wouldn't necessarily describe it as expensive. However, for the average startup, it may not be affordable since our current annual expenditure on the system, which supports approximately 210-220 users, amounts to approximately £15,000 to £18,000."
  • "The cost of Sage People varies depending on the financial resources of the organization. While it may be affordable for middle-level companies, it may be more challenging for young companies to bear the cost."
  • "There is other software on the market that can do similar functions to Sage People that could be better in price. Some solution allows you to do your payroll processes by month or by the process. Small companies could benefit by using another solution."
  • "We have to purchase the solution's license to use it."
  • "Its cost is moderate for a multi-group licensing model."
  • "The price of the solution is reasonable."
  • "The pricing is reasonable."

  • "With a bigger budget, I would recommend SAP."
  • "Workday is an expensive solution."
  • "You have the license fee per module, and then you have a kind of annual training fee, which is a kind of add-on. I wouldn't say it is exhaustive; it is minor. Licensing is pretty transparent for most of the part."
  • "The pricing is good from an HR perspective, although management gets upset after spending $500,000 a year, every year."
  • "Its price is pretty high. It is more expensive than what is offered by other competitors in the market."
  • "It has an annual subscription rate, but I'm not sure how it will work."
  • "The pricing for this solution is fairly high. It is not affordable for small and mid-sized companies."
  • "By and large, Workday is expensive. It is based on the headcount. I'd probably rate it a three or four out of five in terms of pricing. It'd be like buying a Mercedes or a high-end car. It's expensive, but there's a specific value that you're getting with additional features and things of that nature. Using that metaphor, Workday probably tends to be more of a luxury. There are others like ADP that can do your payroll, your time off, and other things, but they don't do it as well."
