We can install it on various computers.""The most valuable feature is the ability to centrally manage the total security environment, including the firewall.""The most valuable feature is data loss prevention.""Intercept X is the most valuable feature in the solution. It's more or less pretty standard. The endpoint feature allows you to basically see what is happening, and stop a wide range of threats. It's been the most unique identifier for Sophos."

"Its database is better than most of the endpoint protection solutions.""I use Trend Vision One Endpoint Security for work control, application control, firewall, whitelist and blocklist filtration, analysis, monitoring, deep security for the servers, major monitoring, and IPS modules.""It's easy to use and used to be a very good solution.""Stable threat protection software that's quick to install. Cons
"It takes about two business days for initial support, which is too slow in urgent situations.""I haven't seen the use of AI in the solution.""Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later.""We've encountered challenges during API deployment, occasionally resulting in unstable environments.""Intelligence aspects need improvement""Detections could be improved.""The EDR console should have more extensive reporting. You shouldn't need to purchase FortiAnalyzer. It should be included in the EDR part. "The solution could be improved in terms of the performance of the appliances. Sometimes the appliances in the market can be quite large. Additionally, in comparison to other appliances, such as FortiGate, Cisco Firepower, or ASA, it could be improved in terms of package processing or traffic handling.""I would like to have the capability to support legacy operating systems because the majority now don't support Windows XP, and Windows 2000.""The product's resource utilization is a concern, especially regarding memory usage on systems with older specifications such as lower memory and less powerful processors.""The solution could improve on the resource management, it is a bit heavy on the resources.""In the future, I would like to see better third-party integration so that it can work in conjunction with our ticket system.""Sophos is lacking in the granularity of optimization, so having more control would be better.""One area for improvement in Sophos EPP Suite is the support response time, particularly of the management team. It could be faster because I only got a response from the manager after a few days. If you open a case directly from the website, the response from the technical support agent may have been faster. I didn't open the request from the website, so that could be the reason why the response time took longer.""In my country, having an on-premises deployment model is preferred. In this part of the world, on-premises is still the way many companies want to go. Therefore, they should supply some sort of option that allows for that reality."

More Sophos EPP Suite Cons →

"Trend Micro Apex One could include more in-depth endpoint protection.""Trend Micro Apex One can improve its vulnerability assessment and monitoring tools.""The reports are not eye-catching from the customer's point of view, which is something that should be improved.""The performance could always be improved.""It needs a consolidated manager as there are too many parts to currently manage it.""The reporting can be improved. We'd like to have had broader insights as to what was happening on a machine.""The tool needs to improve its dashboard so that all the products can be managed from a single console.""The technical support should be more proactive."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.
