Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The product's initial setup phase is very easy.""Impressive detection capabilities""Fortinet FortiEDR made our clients feel secure and more at ease, knowing that they had an EDR solution that would close the gap in their security posture.""The solution was relatively easy to deploy.""Forensics is a valuable feature of Fortinet FortiEDR.""The price is low and quite competitive with others.""The console is easy to read. I also like the scanning part and the ability to move assets from one to the other.""It is stable and scalable."

"It's easy to use and used to be a very good solution.""Its real-time features are valuable. It is in real-time, and it works fine.""The ransomware protection and behavior monitoring features of Trend Micro Apex One are actually good.""Trend Micro Apex One most valuable features are centralized management, ease of use, and help user management. Additionally, it can detect vulnerabilities in the end-users system""DLP is a solid feature in the product. I like it very much. It is very useful in our environment. It is also a very stable solution. Their support is also very good.""They have a wide range of products, including a couple for virtual patching, which is very important.""Trend Micro Apex One is a seamless solution compared to others.""Offers great application control, vulnerability protection, and behavior monitoring."

"On the cloud management page, the solution scales up very highly.""F-Secure is useful for keeping user machines up-to-date by pushing out security and critical updates.""There is a layer of security to prevent a malicious agent (malware) from interrupting or stopping services, deleting or modifying registry entries or even stopping the antivirus from acting, ensuring that there will be no interruption of protection.""Both incoming and outgoing traffic is protected.""The notifications and patch management features are valuable.""We use the product for detecting network vulnerabilities and for software update purposes.""The most valuable features of WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection are the clear useful portal and overall company protection."

Cons
"FortiEDR could add a separate scanning dashboard. In incident management, we prefer to remove the endpoint system from the environment and scan the system. We typically use Symantec for that, but if we want to use FortiEDR for that, then we need a scanning tab to clarify things.""The solution is not stable.""The EDR console should have more extensive reporting. You shouldn't need to purchase FortiAnalyzer. It should be included in the EDR part. The security adviser cloud platform could be improved with more options for exclusive or intensive rules for devices.""The solution is not user-friendly.""Making the portal mobile friendly would be helpful when I am out of office.""Everything with Fortinet having to do with their cloud services. They need to invest more in their internal infrastructure that they are running in the cloud. One of the things I find with their cloud environment compared to others' is that they go cheap on the equipment. So it causes some performance degradation.""The solution's installation from a central installation server could be improved because the engineers had a little bit of trouble getting it installed from a central location.""FortiEDR can be improved by providing more detailed reporting."

More Fortinet FortiEDR Cons →

"I would like to see a sandboxing feature in the next release - which is currently something being supported by a third party - in addition to EDR capability on the cloud applications.""The solution needs to have SDR in it. So, SDR is an area where the solution needs to work and improve itself.""Apex One could use some updates to its UI, threat modeling, and insights. I would like to see better integration with helpdesk platforms and more AI-driven features.""The only thing that I would like to see changed or improved in the next release is when it reports C&C callbacks, to make it easier to trace, to see what's doing that, whether it's a program checking for updates or a malicious program.""The reports are not eye-catching from the customer's point of view, which is something that should be improved.""If certain alerts could be translated into day-to-day English with some action plans, a few points, what to do, and how to do it, that would help me personally as IT Manager. They have some recommendations regarding the vulnerability of the endpoint. They take you to some very technical information and if you are not a security engineer or security-trained you might not understand what they're talking about. We are a small company and it would benefit if things were explained better, we cannot afford a dedicated Trend Micro Apex One engineer.""No product can ever be rated a ten out of ten. They are always improving on one aspect or another.""It needs a consolidated manager as there are too many parts to currently manage it."

More Trend Vision One Endpoint Security Cons →

"The program and cloud service management is in English. It's not a problem for me, however, it might be for users who don't speak English or use it regularly.""I would like the part of Hash Analysis by external sources to be improved.""There is no technical support available in the Middle East.""The solution could improve by having more real-time responses. For example, when a license gets removed from a computer it does not update the records of the change. Additionally, when I installed Microsoft Windows Defender I was not able to send licenses through email to our tenants. The integration with other solutions could improve.""Resource consumption is suboptimal and could be improved.""But the biggest one for us is patch management because this has been our top priority when looking at alternatives. Every solution needs to have patch management, if that's possible. It would cut costs on our side if that feature were included, so we don't need to pay for two separate pieces of software.""There could be a dedicated security partner with essential knowledge."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.
