"The most valuable feature is the built-in integration with Office 365, which helps us protect email accounts and servers. We use it on virtual servers on the cloud with Azure, or we can use an agent on physical servers."
"The solution is stable and reliable."
"The most valuable feature of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is the ease of use. You only need to create a folder in your drive and it's as simple as dragging and dropping files to store them."
"This covers the areas of backing up Office 365 that Microsoft does not include in its standard routine."
"Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is reliable and easy to use."
"The tool is easy to use and straightforward regarding restoration and creating backups. It's user-friendly, providing results and sending alerts when something goes wrong."
"Veeam is affordable and end-to-end configuration is straightforward, whether you're going from source to destination or vice versa. Retrieval is also easy."
"It is a stable solution."
"It has helped us transfer the solution in two days instead of working for a minimum of one week to ten days."
"I think the interface is straightforward"
"We have evaluated other solutions but Veeam is the best for virtualization."
"The initial setup is very easy."
"This is very user-friendly."
"The backup and replication capabilities are quite good."
"The solution is a user-friendly interface."
"The integration with some storage systems like HP or Nutanix and great support are the most valuable features. You get productivity support. You get a response within one hour, even in the evening or night. The functionality of the whole software is good."
"The solution needs to introduce more features."
"It's hard to predict the usage on the storage. I need to make some estimates for customers in terms of how much storage will be needed on the cloud, and this is always tricky. It would be helpful if they could help us estimate storage or simplify the estimation portion."
"If Veeam could offer backup as a service for data backup and recovery, that would be great. We'd like something like what Druva is offering at the moment."
"The solution could improve scalability, both in terms of more storage and users. These two attributes are quite important when you talk about good scalability."
"A while back, I had some trouble using the agent. It might be a problem with older versions. Sometimes, I also have issues installing or making backups from the console to that type of operating system."
"Currently, I'm working for Huawei and they dropped the support for Huawei, so that's an issue for us."
"The solution should provide more integration with Teams and SharePoint Online to perform other tasks."
"The solution could offer better reporting."
"Its licensing needs to be improved. Its licensing has become complex since last December. They have changed the way the product is licensed, and there is a lot of confusion. Sometimes, when a new version comes, it seems that it has not been tested enough because I usually find some bugs in it. It could also have more integration with other virtualization products, such as desktop virtualization products and open-source virtualization products."
"I would like a solution for SAP systems to be included."
"In Linux, I suggest you backup for a PostgreSQL database."
"Veeam Backup Replication has agents for Linux, but they are not supporting Cluster Shared Volumes. It would be great to have agents for Linux be cluster-aware, just like the Windows agents. That's the main pain point. In addition, we should be able to handle the automation of Oracle backups from the backup server. We should be able to schedule, control, and deploy them from the backup server rather than relying on scripts and/or the system you are backing up to perform the backup. Currently, we install the plug-in inside Oracle VMs and then use crontabs to handle the task schedule on each machine for scheduling the backups. Veeam Backup Replication should also support the automation of Nutanix backups from the backup server, not from the proxy. The other not so major thing is that they don't support legacy systems because Veeam is a new company. It is not as old as other companies. They don't support physical workloads that are really old, which a major challenge, but they do have a point. Legacy systems should be virtualized, and if they're virtualized, then the backup is not an issue with Veeam, but some customers like the physical setup, and they don't want to have it virtual."
"It would be ideal if users could know that their data is backed up and have some security functionality where you can actually use the backup to spin up a new cluster and take it from there."
"I have found that the reporting could improve in its structure."
"The DR component should be part of the comprehensive package, not separate."
"We have had problems with some jobs. For example, when we have a VM with a large SQL Database, sometimes we cannot adjust the time for transaction logs to back up and overlap time."
