We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"IQ Bot is the most valuable integrated feature of Automation Anywhere.""The tool is a huge time saver. If I want to do something manually, it will take half an hour, but the bot can do the task within minute or seconds. In a day, month, or year, this will be a huge amount of time for me. A reduction to a fraction of seconds will be a big impact.""We found that RPA with additional AI capabilities, such as machine learning and Computer Vision, can enable the organization to augment existing business operations by creating efficiencies and improving the accuracy of data to be processed, without changing too much of the existing system.""It improved the task performance at a team level and improved productivity.""The Control Room for the bots and its ability to connect bots with APIs are the most valuable features.""This boosts the customer confidence and experience. When the customer experience increases, obviously sales will increase.""Speed is the most valuable feature. E.g., for a human, it could take around 60 minutes to create a report with a few errors. Occasionally, a person will miss something. With this bot, we can get the work done in around five minutes. So, it takes only five minutes for a report to scan and be created with fewer errors.""With Automation Anywhere, what used to take us two days now takes us twenty minutes."

"The product's most valuable feature is the executor.""The chatbot that they have is most valuable. It is one of the best features because they own it, and they don't need to integrate with other parties to have a chatbot. This is one of the main features. The rest of the features are common to all RPA tools or vendors available in the market.""It helps us with cost optimization and easy implementation.""The support from the vendor is very good.""The ability to automate our processes with external plug-ins and zero code is the most valuable feature.""The studio design is fine compared to other similar products. There is nothing extraordinary about it, but at the same time, there are not any negatives.""If we want to change your processes, we can code it from scratch, making it a beneficial feature of the product.""Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten...I rate the technical support of the solution a nine out of ten."

Cons
"Automation Anywhere says that you can use this tool for any type of application, but there are some for which it is not compatible.""It does not easily integrate with customized solutions.""The overall product in Automation Anywhere is good, but they need to improve a little bit on the overall architecture side.""It is not easy to integrate APIs with Automation Anywhere without a good knowledge of APIs.""I would like to have a command that allows me to add code, like C#. As a developer, this would be helpful.""More interactions with PDFs would be great for Automation Anywhere.""The stability of this solution depends on the processes, but I think that there is room for improvement in this regard.""I would like to see a comment feature that allows you to embed comments/notes into an action sidebar, without having to actually take up a line of code in order to write such a statement."

More Automation Anywhere (AA) Cons →

"The price of the solution could be improved.""With other automation solutions in the market, we can simulate the process in our notebooks where the solution creates the code for us, but with AutomationEdge we can't do this.""It's not an intuitive tool.""In the future, they should have a similar version for the cloud and on-premises, and the installation should be flawless within few minutes.""They could provide more technologies for IT and security to enhance machine learning capabilities.""There are some shortcomings in the product's stability that need improvement.""With the solution, customizing software can be time-consuming.""The installation process could improve. It was difficult to complete."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Pricing is too high for small-scale groups. The Control Room yearly fee is high, making it difficult to break even."
  • "Automation Anywhere is competitive... Pega is somewhat comparable, but Pega also requires a lot more infrastructure and a lot more experience to get up and running."
  • "Automation Anywhere is costlier than the general competition. That is aligned with the share of the market it has."
  • "They're very flexible around pricing and licensing."
  • "They give us a good deal on the licensing because we bundle and customize things. If you ask to get a bulk business deal, you will receive more benefit. If you take other products from the suite, like IQ Bot, you can also receive a deal on the licensing."
  • "We just did a round of price comparison on a global scale and found it's so hard to compare the license prices. But, Automation Anywhere, in general, is on the same price level as the other vendors, a bit lower in some cases."
  • "If you look at the capital expenditure, Automation Anywhere is number two to UiPath. But if you take a long-term view, on a scalable model of a large number of bots coming out, it slowly goes on to become the costliest tool. There is something they can do about that. The capital expenditure goes out right at the point of buying the tool. For Automation Anywhere, I would need to spend $20,000. UiPath can give me something for $6,000, while Blue Prism will come in at $300,000."
  • "It's cheaper than other similar solutions."
  • More Automation Anywhere (AA) Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The licensing for this solution should have a more competitive pricing model. The price is in the top five of similar products."
  • "If you are looking for a budget solution, you can consider AE. It has all the features. Scaling it is way easier because of the cost itself."
  • "I give the price of the solution a nine out of ten."
  • "Pricing can be made better. Currently, I think the pricing is based on the market. The pricing also depends on the business partners that offer you the solution."
  • "Price-wise, AutomationEdge is pretty affordable, making it not so expensive when you compare this with other tools in the market."
  • "The product is available at the lowest price."
