We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature of Juniper Wireless Access Points (AP Series) is the ability to troubleshoot ports on the network. Additionally, when there is an update on the APs they are able to reboot quickly reducing downtime. Other solutions have a longer downtime when updates are done.""The artificial intelligence feature is very good.""With Mist, every Wednesday they roll out new features.""In terms of reporting, in terms of all the user reports, it's very rich.""You can easily monitor, manage, and cover all your IT equipment.""The solution is very secure.""Overall, we've been very pleased with the performance.""Juniper Mist offers valuable features like comprehensive network insight, granular policy control, fast device setup, strong security, and efficient SSL traffic management."

"It gave us the ability to view wireless traffic, unwanted devices on the network, and how they affected overall network performance.""Cisco Wireless solutions are easy to use.""The technical support is excellent.""We've found the technical support to be helpful and responsive.""Good manageability, and stability.""Identity PSK helps save SSIDs.""This increased mobility has helped our organization. We can talk to one another from different locations and stay in constant contact and with employees across the enterprise. Everyone has access to up-to-the-minute communications and all documents and applications on our network.""The tool is mainly improving our productivity."

"This is an affordable product that offers good performance. This is why it is popular with our customers. It offers good speed and bandwidth.""The initial setup process was easy.""The product's initial setup phase is easy.""It's scalable, user friendly, and easy to manage.""D-Link is a good product that is quite affordable and I recommend it.""The most valuable feature of D-Link Wireless is its durability.""D-Link Wireless is a tool that is used since it is an easy and user-friendly product.""The connectivity is good."

Cons
"It would be helpful to have even stronger security features to help protect against interference from other nearby access points that aren't part of our network.""Juniper Wireless AP can improve by continually improving its reporting and integration with other systems.""If you want to do more specific stuff, it's a bit limited.""The price could be better.""The product should include adaptive Wi-Fi to show a more accurate location.""The pricing is very high in the Indian market.""Juniper Wireless Access Points (AP Series) could improve if the MIST platform had a built-in master key. This would be an advantage.""I need a bit more time with it before criticizing the features."

"Sometimes I've seen some issues come up with the interference. That's an issue users face at times. It becomes very complex when you have a lot of wireless interference in the area, or in your office. It's because of the environment of Cisco. Maybe, in the future, they can work on this area, and fix this issue.""The price could be better.""The interface could be better.""There is no technology without room for improvement. The main setback with Cisco solutions, not only with Cisco Wireless, is having to update the OS manually. We are now migrating to Miraki, so we've been able to work that out.""For all products on the market, the availability of the products may not be ideal. We're waiting on a lot of products simply due to the fact that there's a material shortage. We've ordered products and have had to wait three or four months for anything to get delivered. This is not just Cisco. It's a problem on the market for all components which include semiconductors.""In the next release, I would like to have support for Wi-Fi 6.""The pricing could be reduced.""The installation is very tiring and painful, the process could be easier."

More Cisco Wireless Cons →

"The stability could be a bit better.""The tool's technical support can get difficult sometimes. We got a technician only after complaining for 10-15 days. The tool's technicians need to be made available everywhere.""The solution doesn't have hotspots. Users can't set it up so that visitors can log in via Facebook or social media as they can at, for example, airports. D-Link should include hotspots that offer integration with social media. That way, visitors don't need to be asking people for passwords. They can just use Facebook.""The only issue is with the controller visibility of the devices connecting to the network.""The performance offered by D-Link Wireless can be a bit problematic at times, owing to which it is an area that can be considered for improvement.""The cloud managed solution needs improvement, and they should focus on the SD-WAN segment with regard to integration.""Sometimes we configure the SSID with a password but the same AP shows two WiFi connections with the same SSID name (one is protected by a password and another one give access without a password).""In future, it would also be good to have a switch within D Link that works as well as the Cisco 9200 Switch."

  • "It is an expensive solution."
  • "Expensive."
  • "As far as I know Cisco is very competitive, price-wise. Talk to your third-party vendor. It all depends on the company size - how many employees, how big the building is. If it's wireless, and you have only 50 employees but you're using a large building floor, in that case you need many access points. But if you have 50 employees using two or three rooms, then you probably don't need it and it's going to be high density, so there is a different design. So you need to talk to a subject matter expert. Talk to them and design accordingly."
  • "Cisco is more on the expensive side, as compared to Aruba, but I must say Cisco's quality is unmatched, for sure."
  • "I am not a fan of Cisco's software pricing model. Their management software is far too expensive."
  • "The pricing is high. It could be cheaper."
  • "Never pay the full GPL price."
  • "Pricing is a bit on the high side compared to its competitors but we have to consider the support and usages of the solution. Licensing is now RTU and smart licensing. We need three types of licenses. One for each of the: APs, HA, controller."

  • "D-Link pricing is very competitive when you consider other OEMs."
  • "D-Link Wireless is cheaper than Ruckus or Cisco."
  • "This solution is more affordable than others on the market."
  • "On a scale of one to ten, where one is very cheap and ten is very expensive, I rate the pricing an eight out of ten."
  • "D-Link Wireless' price is the same as Aruba's. You need to pay one-time costs for the product."
  • "The product is affordable."
  • "There is no licensing fee for the solution."
  • "The cost can range from $100 to $400."
