Pros
"We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."

"Its ability to monitor practically any type of network device via SNMP is most valuable. This is the main functionality that we're using. If a network device exposes a metric, such as interface utilization, SevOne will monitor it for us.""It's given us the ability to create various real-time network performance reports and distribute them to any colleague who can access these reports immediately.""The most valuable feature as of late has been the API integration with ServiceNow.""Another useful feature is that SevOne gives you real-time insights into your network performance. It polls every five minutes. That is important for our customers because there are some network teams that are always monitoring their networks.""I like the tool’s scalability and real-time reports. Earlier, we struggled to give real-time reports to clients. I also like the tool’s deployment model where we can deploy it either on-premises or in-house. We don’t have to carry the data all over the globe. Also, I am impressed with the tool's flow reporting and Wi-Fi.""SevOne has rich API capabilities, giving us the flexibility to control what we collect and customize the collection, creation, and manipulation of now metrics as necessary.""In 90% of the cases, new devices are plug-and-play, so when a new version comes out then SevOne has support for it out of the box.""The feature that I have found most valuable is the scale-up and scale-down. The scale-up is an operation where the CPU boosts-up and then the memory will boost-up. That works awesomely."

"Science Logic provides distributed and all-in-one concept in monitoring, you can easily customize the features in this product.""The best feature is the highly flexible graphs.""Provides agentless monitoring so there's no need to install the agent on each server.""The tool is quite easy to deploy, and it offers very good support.""One of the valuable features is rapid dashboards.""I'm satisfied with ScienceLogicfor for what they can offer today because they can offer both serverless connectivity and agent connectivity.""The most valuable features of ScienceLogic are AI and machine learning.""The flexibility to support most technologies. The way ScienceLogic gathers data from multiple sources is vital to our customers. As we work with new customers (often with different technology requirements), ScienceLogic is flexible enough to support our clients’ varying network needs."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"You need to plan integrations. That has been the biggest bug with SevOne so far. For the things that SevOne pulls directly, those are easy to understand, modify, and put into the database. For things that need to use the Universal Collector or xStats, you need to plan that stuff well in advance.""There is no service mode setup in this monitoring tool if you want to snooze alerts for any specific amount of time, to account for any activity change or major incident.""Would benefit with the addition of AI modules for proactive data insights.""In terms of having a complete view of our network performance, I would rate it a nine out of 10. The reason for not giving it a 10 is that there is no packet capture associated with SevOne, but we do have other tools in place to do that.""The user management features need to be improved. It would be nice if we had more granular control, or layers of control, out of the box.""The reports are easy to configure but they are a bit outdated in terms of appearance and visualization.""Some similar solutions offer end-to-end visibility.""The one area with room for improvement is probably administration. They added data insights to make a better user experience, but I'd like to see some improvements in the way the system's administered."

More IBM SevOne Network Performance Management (NPM) Cons →

"Admins do not have direct access to the reporting.""The product must educate its strategic partners for deployment.""It doesn't have the complete application-level topology. It could have service topology and business service monitoring. I would like to see how business service monitoring will function with agent-based installation, and how flexible and business-oriented it is for service modeling and service infrastructure. I have a lot of experience in using business service monitoring, service topology, and service hierarchy functionalities in similar products from BMC and Micro Focus (OpenView), and I want to see how these functionalities will look like in ScienceLogic.""ScienceLogic could improve the implementation, it could be made easier.""One important area we feel could be improved is the UI. It takes a lot of clicks to do very simple tasks.""They should add CLI command modes and scripts for high performance.""They should improve their support process and add chat.""ScienceLogic should provide detailed documents to customer as the current documents are not sufficient."

  • "The solution is license-based. It's between $8 and $15, depending on what you need from the product."
  • "I'm not the best person to discuss pricing, but what I do know is that it's a use-and-go structure. You use this much storage and pay this much for it. That's how it is. Every time, we continue to add a large amount of data to the environment."
