"It also gives the vulnerability status according to the versions you have selected. Let's say you have Google Chrome. It mentions the versions it has, and it updates. Within two hours of an update, it is reflected in the dashboard. That's really nice to have."
"There are several features that I consider valuable."
"The email protection is excellent, especially in terms of anti-phishing policies."
"Defender for 365 is a comprehensive cloud-based solution. The value of the cloud is that you aren't alone. Threat intelligence and analytics are shared in the cloud. We don't have to find the solution alone. If you face an unknown threat with traditional solutions like Trend Micro and Symantec, you need to open a case and send your information to them to analyze forensically and identify the source of the attack."
"The benefit that stands out to me is the ability for multiple individuals to collaborate simultaneously within the same document. Additionally, there is the option to save the document directly in the integrated OneDrive or SharePoint."
"I would say that 90% of the spam and phishing attack emails get blocked right off the bat."
"The deployment capability is a great feature."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Defender for Office 365 is the ease of use."
"Its administration console is very easy to use. The administration console is absolutely important because you interact with the platform through it."
"The product's most valuable features are impersonation protection and phishing countermeasures."
"The solution is pretty straightforward to use and easy to set up."
"It's good, it keeps the spam out."

"Due to our specialized use case, that HIPAA dictionary really comes in handy."
"The product is good. To date, we have not faced any challenges."
"We like Mimecast's spam filtering. The email signature feature is also a big plus for our users."
"Microsoft Defender for Office 365 must improve the overall management style, including the GUI. It also needs to change the filters so that it is easy to whitelist and blacklist data."
"We need to be able to whitelist data at the backend."
"In some situations, it has not been able to pick impersonated emails having no attachments. Technical support definitely has a scope for improvement."
"You should be able to deploy Defender for every subscription without the need to add servers."
"Several simulation options are available within 365, and the phishing simulation could be better."
"They can improve their security in a way where a customer can know if all their attachments are safe or not to open through a report. The solution does its job perfectly, but it never reports to the customer whether those attachments have been stopped before or not."
"Microsoft Defender for Office 365 should improve the troubleshooting tools. It's unclear whether the device is blocked at the firewall level or at the device itself. The granularity needed for troubleshooting is currently lacking. From my perspective, Microsoft should address this issue to benefit many users who likely share the same sentiment."
"There is room for improvement with the UI."
"The price could be better, it should be reduced."
"We have subscribed to an archival service, and yet, when we have to get our data out, we have to pay a fee to get our own data. They charge an extraction fee."
"I did have a problem with Mimecast. That is why I was looking for an alternative solution because their sender IP address gets poorly rated by Microsoft."
"The attachment scanning feature doesn't work properly."
"The installation is not so straightforward."
"Its pricing can be improved. It is a bit expensive."
"They should improve the cookies management feature."
"They could provide a unified licensing model, including all the security features."

In my opinion, all gateways including Mimecast or Defender for O365 or ProofPoint work hand-in-hand in their respective mechanics and algorithms built. And definitely has its own advantages. However, I have been using it for my customers' MDO which is far better. I would say relying on gateways is important but at the same time USER education and reporting back to the IT administrator far important as well.
Greetings Matingou, Defender for O365 I would say would suffice as it has all the tools included in Mimecast in just one single tool, may take some time to navigate at first as it gives a lot of information in just one tool but once you know your way around, you will be able to have good visibility on your email threats landscape by provides a range of protections against email-based threats such as spam, phishing, malware, and etc. It also includes features such as URL protection and attachment scanning to prevent users from clicking on malicious links or downloading harmful files. but on the other hand, Mimecast might be needed, if you require compliance measures, including data loss prevention, archiving, and encryption. It also provides greater visibility and control over email security, allowing you to monitor and manage threats in real-time. Hope this helps.
