We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Client-side encryption minimizes worries about data being captured on the back-end.""One massive advantage of this solution, as compared to more enterprise products, is that no firewall changes are needed on the client's premises. For the product to back up from the client's premise to the cloud, it just needs port 8 and port 443, which are anyway always open. This was one of the things that made us decide to go with the product. It is very difficult to justify a firewall change for a small client who doesn't even know what a firewall is and how to maintain a firewall, or doesn't have anybody maintaining their firewall. You then have to maintain the firewall. MSP360 Backup takes away firewall change requirements, VPNs, or channels that are needed for the backup.""The initial setup is very easy. It's not overly complex.""The most valuable feature of MSP360 Backup is its reliability.""The UI is pretty good. It's very simple. That is one thing that we like about this. It's very user-friendly.""The solution is easy to access and handles things efficiently.""General ease of use and performance of the Windows version is the most valuable feature.""Provides connectivity to a lot of different cloud storage solutions."

"The most valuable feature of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is the WAN accelerator. This feature allows for large amounts of data from one location to another. If the bandwidth in the environment is slow it makes the transfer slow but the WAN accelerator feature helps speed the transfer.""One of the valuable features is the ability to restore a specific email. For example, if a user has deleted an email and they would like that particular email back we are able to restore it.""The solution helps reduce our workload.""The most valuable feature is that we don't need different agents to back up our files from different accounts.""The most valuable feature of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is its performance. Additionally, the user interface and documentation are easy to use and navigate.""The support offered by both Veeam and our third party supplier is excellent.""I believe the solution is very scalable. We can continuously add mailboxes and sites.""The product offers good stability."

Cons
"There are some things that we don't like about it. That is why I was exploring alternatives in a hyper-scale environment. That is why I was checking IT Central Station.""We could basically use just a more concise visual dashboard reporting on the status of the various machines.""The product could be more user-friendly.""The interface feels like it is targeted for end users who typically are looking for an all-in-one integrated push button solution. It would be better if the interface had a beginner mode and an expert mode.""Maybe implement an easier interface for basic users. For example, a set-up wizard with all the commonly used features as default.""As for what can be improved, some reports could be simplified so that you know how much backup you have done and what your backup details are. That report is available but it is very tough to get. I would like to know "today I have just uploaded 35 MB, tomorrow I have loaded 10 MB so my trend of backup is increasing."""The Linux GUI leaves a lot to be desired. It lacks many of the features of the Windows version and is buggy, but it is still usable.""The main improvement is that it should have GDPR compliance. That's the problematic point. They say they are GDPR compliant, but they are not."

More MSP360 Backup Cons →

"They could include WAN acceleration to compress the traffic to make things faster.""The product cannot back up Active Directory objects while its competitors can. Self-service power enables us to deal with service providers. We provide services for our clients, so having a multi-tenant service portal would be good.""We use a yearly subscription. However, I believe the price could be lower.""The solution could improve by having the ability to back up without an agent installed on the system.""The solution could improve scalability, both in terms of more storage and users. These two attributes are quite important when you talk about good scalability.""Its price could be improved.""The solution announced many features two years ago, and they still have not happened, so I would hope that the next release has these ready to go.""In some instances, a customer is not necessarily backing up Microsoft 365. For instance, they might be backing up a large Oracle database. It would be nice if they could tweak it to compress the file, so it's easier to transfer a huge file."
