Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"On the outside, the main differentiation is because Lookout ingest. They have ingested basically all of the apps for the last ten years and all the versions of all the apps, and we have that in a corporate database that allows us to do very large-scale machine learning and analysis on that data set. That's not something that any of the competitors really have the capability to do because they don't have access to the data set. A lot of the apps you can no longer get them because that version of the app is five or six years old, and it just doesn't exist anywhere anymore, except within our infrastructure. So, the ability to have that very rich dataset and learn from that dataset is a real differentiator.""The protection offered by the product is the most valuable feature. It detects vulnerabilities or traps on our users' phones and then prompts them to clean up their devices. Tools we used previously would only discover, which required us to gather information on the backend, so Lookout is a welcome upgrade.""The most valuable features are the antivirus as a whole, the anti-malware, and all of the protection features that scan our enterprise devices.""The solution is stable."

More Lookout Pros →

"Prevents data leakage and protects data.""As Netskope is a cloud-based application, it is possible to analyze and distinguish personal and enterprise instances.""One of the valuable features of the solution is that everything is on the cloud. It has no on-premise hardware to deal with.""Overall, the product is nice, and I like the URL filtering, CASB, and other security stacks like threat prevention.""It is for secure web trafficking, and it is doing what it needs to do. It allows customers to consolidate and eliminate multiple technologies onto Netskope and just kind of turn the dial and use more features, such as CASB, VPN. SWG is another feature. You can monitor and govern all the traffic.""We've found the solution to be quite stable.""The most valuable features of the solution are its three modules, which are SWG, ZTNA, and CASB.""The solution offers good security functionality."

More Netskope Next Gen Secure Web Gateway Pros →

"Yes, it is very stable. I have never seen it go down, not once.""The best feature is the ability to establish the connection between your public network and automatically connect to the intranet connection.""The most valuable feature of Zscaler Private Access is the categorization of the dynamic URLs which keeps the customer's environment protected. The threats and the malware are correctly categorized.""The ZPA is a unique feature which offers VPN along with all the additional security needed.""It is straightforward to set up.""What I find most valuable in Zscaler Private Access is that it's a VPN. Its connectivity as a VPN is its most valuable feature.""The product's most valuable features are cloud-based services and secure internet access. We don't have to set up any physical appliances.""The most valuable features of this solution are the CASB solutions, which is protecting their Office 365."

Cons
"From the analysis that we've done, they do seem to be maybe a step behind in trying to enter the market with a new solution. But when they do pick up, they do come out with some good products.""We just submitted an enhancement request reflecting the main area we want to see improvement in; the APIs. Currently, we're able to build dashboards, but it's somewhat backward because we use our MDM API to create them. Lookout should provide API to customers so we can query our data and use it in our cloud, and this is the only outstanding area for improvement with the product right now.""Lookout was moving into the SSE space. And so their work on SecureWeb Gateway and SD-WAN is still sort of evolving.""The stability depends on the service from where you access it. Because sometimes, the place you are in, you have Gateway. You don't have Gateway. The gateway is overutilized. At the end, you need to go through their gateways. And this is the key point here. You have a tracking point. If it's not well orchestrated, and it scales up as you add more to the existing team, you will suffer"

More Lookout Cons →

"Since they have the Netskope client, adding some functionality in the endpoint would be good.""The stability of the solution to be very good. It is not the best and could improve but it is better than other solutions, such as Forcepoint.""Improvement in the solution is required in certain areas where the product does not provide access to its direct end users, who use the portal as an administrator.""The solution could improve the features for Zero Trust Network Access. They should add more security components to that module.""Cost competitiveness is its area of improvement. They will have to figure out how can they strategically price it because there are a few players in the game who have been doing it for a long time. They will have to figure out how to go to market on the pricing.""Netskope can only provide the high level related to threats.""Netskope Next Gen Secure Web Gateway needs to integrate IoT, which can help to control devices.""The solution needs to improve its on-premise detection technique."

More Netskope Next Gen Secure Web Gateway Cons →

"We'd like to have two-factor authentication that is quite simple.""An area for improvement would be the ease of configuration.""We often face performance and latency issues with Zscaler SASE.""More on-prem infrastructure is required when Zscaler Private Access is to be implemented as a single point of entry.""It's an expensive solution.""Zscaler Private Access needs to improve its collaboration with applications without compromising security.""Conflicts arise if you do not have the same management teams on the product.""SCMP support would be one of the biggest improvements in my opinion. More speed improvements are also required."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is fair; it's comparable to our previous solution, and we carried out multiple POCs and POVs (proof of value). The product is worth the money we pay for it."
  • "Lookout is definitely on the lower end when it comes to price point and that seems to be the only differentiator. The technology is in place in this space and it's really about who is coming in at the better price point now."
  • "In terms of feature performance versus cost, they're a good value."
  • "The licensing costs are good. Prisma has much more options and support for security, but it has a higher cost. For example, Lookout costs 2/3rd of Prisma's licensing price."
  • More Lookout Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "We pay a licensing fee of $10,000 on a yearly basis."
  • "The license model is based on the number of users. You have the possibility to have 10,000 users if you wish."
  • "The price is average. Because the license is user-based, you can increase it as per the user quantity."
  • "The solution's overall cost is cheaper than regular web security solutions."
  • "The product is cheap."
  • More Netskope Next Gen Secure Web Gateway Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "It has been relatively reasonable for what it does. Some of the additional license costs based on the advanced next-generation firewall functions are quite high, and they should have certain features ready and available as a baseline rather than having to purchase additional licenses for it. Overall, the cost seems reasonable."
  • "Pricing for Zscaler Private Access is moderate. It's acceptable, though I can't give you the exact price currently. It's not too expensive, and on a scale of one to five, I would rate it a four out of five in terms of pricing."
  • "The pricing is expensive and on the higher end. Honestly, in my opinion, it is not worth the price."
  • "The cost is expensive. It depends on the number of users."
  • "My company is a Zscaler Private Access partner, so the customers pay for the license fees."
  • "The price is competitive."
  • "In terms of market positioning, I would describe Zscaler Private Access as offering optimal pricing. Based on our experience, Cato Networks tends to be slightly more expensive."
  • "Zscaler Private Access is extremely expensive."
