Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature in NetSuite ERP is the user interface.""The initial setup is easy.""It's integrated into everything well so you can navigate and use it in a very simple way.""I like the ease of setup and customization of forms.""NetSuite is a better value than some competing solutions. The fee structure is simpler, and other ERP solutions don't offer as many options for configuration.""The project management aspect and the timesheets are valuable, especially for ensuring that our milestone billings are automated properly. From a manufacturing perspective, it is more to do with the entire management of the inventory, the overall finance, consolidation of books of accounts, and managing the profit and loss in a more effective manner.""NetSuite ERP has dramatically improved our organization. We went from QuickBooks to NetSuite. You can compare this transition to changing from tennis shoes to a flying car.""The most valuable aspect of NetSuite ERP is the multi-subsidiary portion, it is the strongest across all the other ERPs. If you want to do consolidations, it works a lot better than other tools."

"The maintenance is a significant advantage as it is supported by the international community rather than the local community.""It is very flexible...It is a stable solution.""Technical support from SAP is great.""SAP Business One on AWS has good documentation and has many services in the cloud.""With the tool, there is no shutdown or breakdown time my company experiences.""As a business technology platform, it is a flexible platform. It enables the customer to do faster integrations, and the solution's functioning requires low cost.""The most valuable feature is the ability to access it from anywhere.""The production and planning processes of the solution are very good."

Cons
"NetSuite ERP's UI could be improved. There are some features that are very complex that do not have to be. There are some aspects of the solution that could be simplified and this can include the documentation. Since it's a very complex tool, you expect to have great detailed documentation to help you implement it.""The solution could be more stable.""NetSuite is good for data management, but it's missing payroll features.""The solution is not user-friendly and it is complex to use.""The areas that this product needs to improve on is the implementation and inventory processes.""Improvement-wise, it should be more customizable. Currently, you can't enhance the product yourself in terms of development for any applications unless you've got a very strong and big development team. Those are the skills that are in very short supply.""An area for improvement in NetSuite ERP is its accounting functionality because it has certain limitations. You can't maintain sub-ledgers or post accrued expenses in sub-ledger forms, so you'll need to post in journals. The pricing is another area that can be improved in NetSuite ERP because the pricing was lower when it wasn't part of Oracle, but after Oracle acquired Netsuite and NetSuite ERP was offered as a cloud service, the price went up.""In terms of the main improvement to NetSuite is the talent itself. It's grown so fast and there are about 25,000 companies running on it, and it's a relatively newer system compared to other competitors. It's growing so fast that the talent base in the partner organization (there's about 200 of them), is pretty thin."

"I feel that these vendors must be well trained so that they can deploy this solution.""There are limitations of SAP Business One. It's a complex topic, and exploring options like SAP HANA is challenging at the moment. Understanding the limitations of ERP requires thorough research. I suggest conducting some preliminary investigations into ERP products before making a decision. We chose SAP Business One as it caters to SMEs like ours, acknowledging and accepting its limitations. While a larger product exists, switching would entail budget considerations due to the ongoing implementations. Therefore, the current situation with SAP Business One is not a matter of concern.""It would be better if the solution was on a cloud infrastructure.""The solution has a feature that shows you the purchase order that you put on a project and requires you to approve it to be applied to the project, but it doesn't let you move the purchase order to another project. That would be a great feature to have, because if you don't approve it, you have to delete everything and make it again.""The reporting can be improved. Also, it is an expensive solution, and you need consultants for new interfaces as it's very rigid otherwise.""There is a need to make multiple changes in the code to make a few changes in any module of the product.""Analytics could be much better.""It would be beneficial to have access to real-time data from our machines."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "I would advise that you first meet with and scope out your project with a NetSuite VAR (Value Added Reseller)."
  • "When people buy ERP, it's a competitive situation and the pricing is paramount."
  • "It is completely on a subscription basis. We pay yearly and, and you do not have to do anything on a monthly basis. Prices depend on the organization's scale and all those things, but they are doing a good job with the pricing."
  • "There is an annual license required to use this solution."
  • "The price of the solution is quite high."
  • "NetSuite ERP has a cost per module you want to use, and then you have the license per user."
  • "Pricing for NetSuite ERP is okay, but it could be better. The licensing model for NetSuite ERP is based on the number of modules and users. The standard license covers up to twenty-five users. If you have more than twenty-five users, you'll have to buy the premium license, which would double the price. For one module with five user licenses, the cost is between $40,000 to $50,000."
  • "It's very competitively priced due to it being a subscription model. So, clients are quite happy with the pricing. I would rate it an eight out of ten in terms of pricing."

  • "The price of SAP Business One on AWS could be lower, it is expensive."
  • "The price of SAP Business One on AWS is reasonable for what we use it for."
  • "We have an annual cost for licensing and storage in AWS."
  • "Pricing for me, it's not very interesting. I think it's priced at a normal level."
  • "There is an annual licensing fee, and it changes once you add or remove users. The solution is on the upper-end side and expensive."
