Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The tool's most valuable feature is its integration with the banks. Its messaging and routing capabilities are good.""We can handle a large number of messages without any issues, ensuring that everything runs smoothly.""Essentially, you can do whatever you like with these systems, and you do not have to take care about the scaling because if one server is overloaded, it just forwards the message to the next server, even if it were designated to a specific server. It weeds out the messages according to the load. If you want to scale it, you just add new servers.""I rate the tool's stability a nine out of ten.""BIzTalk's integration with Visual Studio is the most valuable feature of this product.""Compared to the current solutions I use, like Azure Logic Apps and other cloud services, BizTalk was far better and more reliable.""The most valuable feature of BizTalk Server is that it will turn XML into flexible transactions.""The most valuable feature is its reliability and stability. The first version of BizTalk was released in 2000, and many companies still use it. It was stable until 2013 when we had support."

"Process Orchestration fulfils the need for middleware to mediate types of connectivity.""It is simple to transfer files.""SAP Process Orchestration is middleware where we are able to manage and interact with everything from a single location. One of the most beneficial areas is monitoring which is very easy because it is all in one place. There are many adapters added recently that can be used for new functionality. The solution is easy to operate and it is more mature than the cloud solution provided by SAP.""The solution offers very good documentation and manuals to assist with understanding the solution.""The monitoring is one of the greatest features in Process Orchestration because it is user-friendly and easy for somebody who is not experienced.""The monitoring tools are the most valuable feature.""t is a pretty stable solution. I have not seen any outages in the solution.""The initial setup was straightforward."

Cons
"BizTalk is in the past, Microsoft is not going to evolve it any further or add any new features.""BizTalk Server is an outdated legacy system that does not support messaging.""The product could be improved in monitoring, managing, and support functionalities.""The product's deployment can be quicker""It's a complex product because you have many degrees of freedom to connect different parts together. Whether it's sensible or not, is up to you, but the machine does allow it. But because of the vast degrees of freedom, it's complex.""BizTalk lacks native cloud support. BizTalk doesn't offer in-built support for cloud. We need to use third-party adapters to connect it to cloud services.""The deployment could be simplified.""It's an on-premises system, requiring physical servers for deployment. This is different from Azure; you don't need any servers with Azure. If you have a subscription, you can do whatever you want. There are unit restrictions based on the environment (like non-production vs. production) in BizTalk. You need physical servers and databases. In Azure, those are not required – it's all in the cloud."

"The product roadmap suggests it will approach the end of support in several years, and a lot of innovations are now implemented by SAP not in SAP PO, but in SAP Integration Suite, hence, the platform is stable, but doesn't receive a lot of new features in recent updates.""This is an on-premise platform and one area they can improve on is having the ability to work with SaaS solutions.""SAP Process Orchestration could improve from an API standpoint. This is not an API management tool, which is one of its drawbacks. However, SAP has released an SAP Cloud Platform Integration which has all of the features, such as API management along with process integration to replace what they had previously.""The cloud capability features need improvement.""I think the main area that SAP PO should improve on is offering pre-delivered content like they do when you use SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI). SAP should not forget that they still have a lot of customers using Process Orchestration and they should focus more on providing pre-delivered content in SAP PO.""It is scalable, but there can be performance issues with high data volume or traffic, especially during month ends.""Process Orchestration doesn't provide authentication for data sent to us, meaning we have to rely on client certificate-based or basic authentication.""It would be beneficial to enhance the ease of implementing new projects and improve overall stability in our implementations."

SAP NetWeaver Process Integration facilitates the integration of business processes that span different departments, organizations, or companies. SAP PI is based on general standards so as to enable 3rd-party systems to be integrated. At the center of SAP PI is an XML-based communication that uses HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol). Irrespective of the scenario used, the application-specific contents are transferred in messages in user-defined XML eXtensible Markup Language) from the sender to the receiver either via the Integration Server, or directly between the systems involved. SAP PI can be installed in different ways: Dual usage type installation: Based on both AS ABAP and AS Java. and Advanced Adapter Engine Extended (AEX): Based on AS Java only.
