We performed a comparison between Board and Jedox based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Business Performance Management solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."All staff can now see their relevant scorecards online."
"BOARD technical support is knowledgeable and helpful."
"We have better reporting and have been able to better track performance."
"Our clients have improved a lot in terms of coordination and communication. This has improved their internal performance."
"The ease of being able to get the data into BOARD is what makes it nice for people with a semi-IT background."
"Where it used to take me three days at the beginning of the year to create the new financial statement, now it is a matter of minutes because all the data is in the system."
"we are able to easily export data. When directors need financial information, we can go in the system and export the data, then send it out so they have it ready and available. If they are not in the office, we can email it to them. In addition, all the managers are now more on top of their expenses and their budget."
"The ability to do write back and visualization, with minimal IT development orientation."
"The customer porting is the most valuable feature."
"The Excel interface is designed to retrieve data from the database and send it back, which is a significant advantage."
"The main strength of Jedox lies in mastering the navigation, especially the Excel add-in."
"The data entry point is most valuable. The way we can customize our report or do data entry is very good."
"The ETL function simplifies many tasks."
"The EPM is the most valuable feature."
"The ETL itself was pretty useful and it's integrated in the tenant itself. So the Olap service technology was impressive to me. In order to extract that and load it in the tube in the same tenant or the same tool that was something magnificent because I actually missed this in SEB. SEB requires another tool, and you have to integrate all the tools together. But for Jedox, it was in the one tool."
"The solution is very versatile."
"It can have more functionality for narrative reporting. They should also improve their training courses, which are currently very lightweight. When you get into more complex things, it is quite difficult to figure out what you're supposed to do, and you have to look at a lot of videos before you actually understand, which is a bit frustrating. Their training can be more comprehensive."
"The one thing that I think we would like to see in terms of improvement of the application is the ability to print. It's fantastic to have all of these graphic visualization of data, but we're not able to very easily just print... From my perspective, if you can have a little "print" button and then you just click it and it would produce what's on the screen, that would be very helpful."
"It would be nice to be able to host your site and actually have BOARD be the driver of your site. So you could have anybody in your organization go to www.myorg.com, for example, and then go through what you allow them to go through. So rather than having to go through the application, to be able to go to actually host it to a website."
"I would like to see a better Web client, where the controls work the same way as in the Windows client. I do think that the focus is now on the Web, so it should be improved upon."
"The initial setup was very complex for us."
"Some of our users are still using an MS Office add-in for Excel for certain calculations, and when they export from Board, some of the values, some of the totals and column names, are not coming through into Excel."
"I'd like to see a more passive report user for enterprise report writers that aren't particularly technical."
"It's very powerful, but there is also a big learning curve. It should be a little more intuitive."
"There is room for improvement in the scalability. It is a very massive tool. It's not easy to just build everything yourself."
"From a development perspective, there's room for improvement in the area called the designer, where you actually build your reports to make it easier to manage the process."
"Visualization is something they need to improve. We have already told them about this, and they should be working on it."
"The tool has changed its pricing and it's now too expensive for small and medium organizations. I miss the open-source version which was free and we could do a lot of things with it."
"Jedox should improve the design and server issues."
"The solution needs to improve its support. The visualization in Microsoft BI is more modern and comfortable than Jedox's. I would expect something similar with the solution."
"I think it's the design of the report because the design and the UI for the report is standard and lame. When you see a Jedox report, it doesn't seem like it's from today, because the technology is something from the last decade. The scalability needs improvement."
"I don't find it particularly user-friendly."
