We performed a comparison between Crowdstrike Falcon and Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business based on our users’ reviews in five categories. After reading all of the collected data, you can find our conclusion below.
Comparison Results: User ratings of the two products are very similar. Crowdstrike Falcon comes out ahead simply because it received better deployment ratings and because users are slightly happier with the pricing.
"It is very easy to set up. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a ten out of ten, with ten being very easy to set up."
"The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration."
"Ability to get forensics details and also memory exfiltration."
"Having all monitoring, response, tracking, and mitigation tools in one dashboard provides our analysts and SOC team with a comprehensive view at a glance."
"Fortinet FortiEDR's firewalling, rule creation, monitoring, and inspection profiles are great."
"The main thing is that I feel safe. Because the processes that have been used to get a handle on the attackers are much better than other competitors"
"Forensics is a valuable feature of Fortinet FortiEDR."
"Additionally, when it comes to EDR, there are more tools available to assist with client work."
"The EDR and XDR features have been most valuable."
"The detection is very reliable. Also, OverWatch is a great feature."
"The feature that I find to be the most valuable, is being able to look at the system analysis and being able to baseline what is installed on the system."
"We have a small IT Team, and this allows us to get sleep at night, knowing that someone else is taking care of any incidents that occur."
"The most valuable features of Crowdstrike Falcon XDR are Spotlight and Discovery, they are helpful. Additionally, the console is user-friendly, with fewer false positives than other solutions."
"I like the overall reports of this solution. They are crisp, and to the point."
"I have found the connection to search the hosts for detections very useful in CrowdStrike Falcon."
"It has definitely minimized resources. When everything was on-prem, there was a lot more work maintaining it. One of the big value tickets: I don't have lists of hundreds of exceptions for certain applications that I have to maintain, add, delete, and move. The very nature of the product has lessened my workload considerably."
"The policies are easy to make and controlled by the Kaspersky Administrative Security Center, which comes at no additional costs."
"The security and vulnerability assessment features are valuable."
"The malware threat detection has been excellent overall."
"The solution has been quite stable."
"The interface is really good. It's nice and simple."
"I like the security that this solution provides."
"It performs quite well as a firewall protection provider."
"It has improved our performance and deployment."
"ZTNA can improve latency."
"FortiEDR could add a separate scanning dashboard. In incident management, we prefer to remove the endpoint system from the environment and scan the system. We typically use Symantec for that, but if we want to use FortiEDR for that, then we need a scanning tab to clarify things."
"I think cloud security and SASE are areas of concern in the product where improvements are required. The tool's cloud version has to be improved in terms of the security it offers."
"Integration with Azure and SaaS provisioning tools could improve Fortinet FortiEDR."
"The solution should address emerging threats like SQL injection."
"The solution is not stable."
"The amount of usage, the number of details we get, or the number of options that can be tweaked is limited in comparison to that with other EDR solutions"
"Intelligence aspects need improvement"
"We would like to be able to perform on-demand scanning, rather than relying on the scheduler."
"This solution is relatively expensive."
"The pricing is a bit too high."
"Sometimes CrowdStrike changes the GUI, and they need to be better at informing us and providing guidance concerning that."
"It is cloud-based, and this does make some weary of the data being held on the cloud. Privacy requirements must be taken into account."
"Technical support could be better than what is currently offered."
"The product could be more accurate in terms of performance."
"I would like to see the machine learning feature enhanced."
"A big improvement would be allowing us to reconfigure the agents and change what to whitelist for a specific user. If the user is not happy with the configuration and is being blocked from certain sites, we should be able to reconfigure the monitoring mechanics to make it more flexible."
"There should be some AI involved. We already have machine learning involved in recent releases but machine learning should be more enhanced in the upcoming versions."
"I would like the solution to be able to allow to have end to end security services from the final user to the server."
"I'd like to see them improve encryption and remote management in the future. Kaspersky could also improve its scanning technology. Other solutions have adopted machine learning and deep learning, but Kaspersky still uses signature-based scanning."
"There have been some performance issues. They provide good security, but this slows down the performance of machines' servers. The software is not updating as frequently as we need."
"The support must provide quick responses."
"The solution is very draining on the computers at certain moments in its operation, excluding the scanning periods that make the computer unusable until finished. It is a balance between economic protection and client machine performance to our users."
"This solution would be improved if it were more compatible with Windows Server. There is not a client for Windows Server, like for Windows Workstation, so there are a lot of things you cannot control from the local system, or from the desktop directly. You have to control everything from the policy server, not from the client's side. The interface is kind of light, and it's not good—it could be more user-friendly."
