We performed a comparison between CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager and Trend Vision One Endpoint Security based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager is very easy to manage, which I like. The solution also has a dashboard where you can see which software is suspicious, which I find valuable."
"I am impressed with the product's seamless integration. The PAM wallet and enterprise password wallet are good also good."
"Users can scale the solution."
"The most valuable features of CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager are password management, session management, onboarding rules, platform customization, and safety management."
"We were able to reduce the number of privileged accounts by 50%, which helped to simplify our privileged access management environment."
"We can do both server and endpoint protection."
"The product is stable."
"You can use it to strip users of their local admin rights and, at the same time, elevate applications for them."
"I like Apex One's USB port blocking. We implement different policies for each client. For example, a client might ask us to block certain USB devices or require us to restart a desktop on the network."
"Its ability to detect ransomware and malware is the most valuable. Its protection is also good."
"Workload security now has a feature called Activity Monitor for each endpoint."
"From a technology point of view, it is very simple to install, it's not heavy on the endpoint in terms of the amount of processing cycles. It is simple to deploy and the interfaces are easy. You don't need to be a scientist to operate it."
"One of the better features, in my opinion, is that it also makes use of a web reputation. For example, if someone accidentally clicks on a link in an email that leads to a malicious website, they will block it."
"I like Apex One's DLP and EDR features. The DLP is a good solution because it allows you to push policies. Source detection is another one. It automatically detects malicious IPs, domains, and URLs. Most of the time, it works automatically, but sometimes it doesn't quarantine or block, so we have to perform remediation manually and delete the file or application through Power Shell."
"The management console is pretty good. We have a dashboard that shows us what stuff to log, different malicious links that people are trying to access and also if somebody was trying to connect something to the computer, to a USB port or something like that, and if this person is on the under control management. It shows that he tried and he got blocked."
"The general anti-virus on offer is the solution's most valuable aspect."
"The solution is very expensive."
"Performance could be better. We have a couple of problems with CyberArk right now. One of the problems is performance in our environment. Support also takes a long time to respond. If the user already has local admin rights, then I can't collect any events in the console from this device. There are also some options in CyberArk that are not working properly, and are not helpful in this case. I can't collect any information to create a proper policy for the device. I have to investigate everything manually, or even disable the local admin from the device. I can collect the events only after this, and it's very time consuming. In my case, it's a waste of resources."
"The product needs a streamlined user interface; improvements to the user interface can enhance user experience and make the solution more intuitive to navigate."
"The price of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required. The product's price should be made more flexible."
"The product's threat protection and defense capabilities need enhancement."
"CyberArk has some performance issues. For example, servers could not handle the solution when we first took CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager."
"The installation process is pretty difficult."
"It is hard to deal with technical support if you are not certified."
"If certain alerts could be translated into day-to-day English with some action plans, a few points, what to do, and how to do it, that would help me personally as IT Manager. They have some recommendations regarding the vulnerability of the endpoint. They take you to some very technical information and if you are not a security engineer or security-trained you might not understand what they're talking about. We are a small company and it would benefit if things were explained better, we cannot afford a dedicated Trend Micro Apex One engineer."
"The solution could use extra dashboards and offer more analytics."
"There is room for improvement in next-gen attacks protection."
"It would be great it can support endpoint encryption."
"It would be ideal if the solution could be simplified a bit."
"When I create and implement a new policy , it takes a couple of hours to apply to the devices."
"The portal is a little bit slow in loading. The cloud portal or management control should be a little faster. There seems to be a lot of load on their servers over there. Maybe they are using one server for multiple customers. It would be great if they can increase server performance in the cloud. Its technical support and reporting can be improved. There is no proper reporting, and there is no PDF or things like that. They should include detailed reporting. An attack happened at a client's site, but we couldn't get the report on the same day. We were unable to provide a detailed report to our client. We approached the technical support, and even they didn't give proper answers. They need to improve the reporting capabilities, or the technical team should support us in providing these reports. They should include reporting in the solution. They should also insert sandbox analysis in Apex One."
"They could improve the integration with Active Directory."
