We performed a comparison between Forcepoint CASB and Qualys VMDR based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Cisco, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks and others in Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB)."The most valuable features are the antivirus as a whole, the anti-malware, and all of the protection features that scan our enterprise devices."
"On the outside, the main differentiation is because Lookout ingest. They have ingested basically all of the apps for the last ten years and all the versions of all the apps, and we have that in a corporate database that allows us to do very large-scale machine learning and analysis on that data set. That's not something that any of the competitors really have the capability to do because they don't have access to the data set. A lot of the apps you can no longer get them because that version of the app is five or six years old, and it just doesn't exist anywhere anymore, except within our infrastructure. So, the ability to have that very rich dataset and learn from that dataset is a real differentiator."
"The solution is stable."
"The protection offered by the product is the most valuable feature. It detects vulnerabilities or traps on our users' phones and then prompts them to clean up their devices. Tools we used previously would only discover, which required us to gather information on the backend, so Lookout is a welcome upgrade."
"The most valuable aspect for us is the fact that the product seamlessly integrates with the Forcepoint DLP."
"Generally, most of our customers are happy with it though."
"Macro integration is a good feature."
"As it is based on AWS, it is not a problem."
"It gives you value for your investment."
"The product offers an easy initial setup."
"The biggest benefit is from a security operations perspective, where we are able to drive our security posture upwards by remediating any discovered vulnerabilities."
"There are fewer false positives when using this solution."
"The Vulnerability Management and Patch Management features are the most valuable features of this solution."
"The most valuable features of Qualys VM are its ability to do proper vulnerability assessment. It has a lot of updates for all the vulnerability databases from all over the globe. It's an amazing solution when it comes to the versatility of the features it has. Additionally, the reports are very good. It generates very detailed reports about the vulnerabilities inside the environment"
"The most valuable feature is automation."
"It's stable and quite reliable."
"The prioritization feature is great. I think it has all of the advanced features that we need."
"Detects new hosts along with vulnerabilities."
"The stability depends on the service from where you access it. Because sometimes, the place you are in, you have Gateway. You don't have Gateway. The gateway is overutilized. At the end, you need to go through their gateways. And this is the key point here. You have a tracking point. If it's not well orchestrated, and it scales up as you add more to the existing team, you will suffer"
"Lookout was moving into the SSE space. And so their work on SecureWeb Gateway and SD-WAN is still sort of evolving."
"From the analysis that we've done, they do seem to be maybe a step behind in trying to enter the market with a new solution. But when they do pick up, they do come out with some good products."
"We just submitted an enhancement request reflecting the main area we want to see improvement in; the APIs. Currently, we're able to build dashboards, but it's somewhat backward because we use our MDM API to create them. Lookout should provide API to customers so we can query our data and use it in our cloud, and this is the only outstanding area for improvement with the product right now."
"They should work on the possibility of consolidating all of the products with the group of agents."
"Integration is an area of the solution that needs to be improved."
"Forcepoint removed the ability to scan for unsanctioned applications on the CASB."
"Lacks different ways to authenticate users."
"When using the Forcepoint CASB, and you are a remote worker, basically not in the office, you have to have an agent on your computer, a Forcepoint agent. However, with many other CASB solutions, they can integrate with MDM."
"The solution needs to be easier to install, and they need to clean up the backend, so stuff doesn't break."
"The only improvement I can think of is on the implementation side. At times it is a bit slow."
"There seems to be a lack of easy onboarding into Qualys."
"Qualys does have an on-prem solution, but it is very expensive."
"They're still evolving their platform in terms of reporting capabilities."
"This solution could be improved by extending the agent capabilities to different operating systems including Mac and Linux. We would also like the capability to easily check for vulnerability in assets in the IOTs."
"It's quite complex on the way it is set up, so it takes a fair bit of time in order to get your head around it in order to deploy it. Once you've deployed it, then you're never confident on the versions of the browsers and the SSL certificates, etc. You have to always go back into Qualys and check."
"Qualys Container Security can improve the interface. It could be easier to navigate and be enriched."
"The reporting and the GUI need improvements."
