Find out in this report how the two HCI solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The failover protection and the ability to expand storage and nodes with no downtime are by far the best physical features we have benefited from."
"The product has improved the ability to mimic physical SAN environments to demo scenarios and troubleshoot problems."
"StarWind allows us to move virtual machines from one physical host to another, which greatly reduces the downtime required for maintenance."
"A typical system administrator with minimal experience in Hyper-V, VMware, or Windows can do VSAN configuration and maintain VSAN operations."
"StarWind support has been great in helping resolve other issues not caused by their software."
"The primary purpose of this software is to create a virtual SAN between local storage on Hyper-V hosts. I find this feature most valuable since it accomplishes this quite well."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the support. They are excellent and you can learn a lot from the support team."
"StarWind vSAN was very easy to integrate into our system and ran flawlessly during our entire use time."
"HPE's InfoSight software, which does the comparative analysis and artificial intelligence built-in in the box, and with Nimble they do well against the competition. Additionally, the dashboards are good."
"The latency is very low."
"The nice thing about it is that it truly integrates with the cloud, so I can move my volumes bi-directionally in and out of the cloud."
"I love InfoSite. That gets you a lot of good detailed information."
"We have this feature in Nimble dHCI, wherein we can upgrade individual components in the infrastructure."

"Geolocation could be better, for example, for site mirroring for DR purposes."
"We ran into an issue with alerts."
"Management of VSAN itself could be improved. A Web UI for management would be great rather than an application installation. StarWind is testing a command center virtual appliance that I have installed in my environment."

"Lacking integration to the cloud."
"I'm not sure if there are features lacking."
"Nimble Storage's integration with the management software could be better."

"The product’s performance needs improvement. It could also help with more environment monitoring and AI technologies to improve the performance and thresholds."
"Software upgrade is still more complicated than the competitors, so that's an area of improvement."
"With the VX machines, the clients often confuse the hardware itself with the services and resources. VMs are configured according to resources - memory, hard disk capacity, and network. These resources, including memory and processor, are actually shared on the VX Series. So, if the server's processor is underpowered or unreliable for the VMs, many of the VMs will encounter issues. Ideally, the physical server configuration should align more closely with the needs of the virtual servers."
"The user management could be a bit better. It's something they could improve upon in future releases."
"Support could be better."
"Lenovo ThinkAgile VX Series needs to improve its stability. Its resolution should be faster."
