We performed a comparison between Barracuda Backup and Veeam Backup & Replication based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Backup and Recovery solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The solution’s scalability is good because its space is unlimited. We can start in Office365 with one terabyte bit of information and leverage through an enterprise solution of 1000 users."
"Vendor integration for many of the enterprise features have allowed for us to have greater performance from our storage vendors further improving on our commitments to protect our clients' data."
"It is a good solution for backups and reporting."
"The replication feature has proven to be the most valuable feature for us."
"Veeam Cloud Connect has helped us to reduce the cost of cloud storage for an offsite solution using their archive storage feature."
"Its performance is fine. It supports us very well. It is able to support our policy for RTO, RPO, and other things that we need."
"It's simply very good software for backup purposes."
"In Veeam backup, the most valuable feature for me is the recovery. It allows me to recover almost immediately while I continue fixing the problem of the affected machine."
"The interface is very user-friendly."
"An improvement is required in reports and backups for sharing on Linux and Unix."
"I would like to have them come up with more robust features when it comes to individual endpoint protection."
"I have found that the reporting could improve in its structure."
"They need to improve their technical side."
"Near-synchronous, better RPO and RTO snapshot-based takes a lot of space and resources."
"It would be ideal if users could know that their data is backed up and have some security functionality where you can actually use the backup to spin up a new cluster and take it from there."
"Multithreading of health check process: This can take too much time to process on large jobs and/or large VMs."
"They can improve the features and Veeam Enterprise Manager. The interface and features are kind of limited. It would be good if they can provide more features and a better interface. For example, if I want to provide certain users with the privilege to back up and restore and do day-to-day tasks, I cannot do it in the current version. It is like you either give everything to everyone or no user can have access to anything. In version 9, a lot of features were missing, and it wasn't clear. Version 10 is easier from the communication perspective, and the disk backup option is very clear."
"The stability for AIX machines could be better."
