We performed a comparison between CrowdStrike Falcon and Forescout XDR based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Wazuh and others in Extended Detection and Response (XDR)."The EDR features are valuable. By getting the EDR features, we have more control over the device. We have information about events in real-time and more protection against zero-day threats and zero-day vulnerabilities. We can monitor every event or action that a device is going through. We can get an idea if it is something malicious or if we have to take any actions."
"The incident threat response and its ability to facilitate effective remediation against threats are the standout features."
"The threat intelligence is excellent."
"The most valuable features of Microsoft 365 Defender are the combination of all the capabilities and centralized management."
"It's a great threat intelligence source for us, providing alerts for things it detects on the network and on the machines. We've used it often when there is a potential incident to see what was done on a computer. That works quite nicely because you can see everything that the user has done..."
"Microsoft Defender XDR is scalable."
"I have found the ability to delete unwanted threats beneficial."
"Microsoft 365 Defender is a stable solution."
"It's ability to do threat hunting is really great, quite robust, and even allows you to do hygiene stuff."
"We haven't had any infections or down time."
"The threat intelligence is the most valuable feature."
"The feature I like the most is the solution's detection."
"The automatic alert feature is the most important feature of the solution."
"Since we deployed CrowdStrike, the network has become much calmer, and we now understand the sources of infections, which helps us prevent them from spreading."
"The stability is very good."
"Everything is automatic. I install the sensor and renew the service. Periodically, I get a notice that they've shut something down."
"The product has valuable features for cloud IoT device enhancement, intelligent threat detection, etc."
"A simple dashboard without having to use MS Sentinel would be a welcome improvement."
"For some scenarios, it provides good visibility into threats, and for some scenarios, it doesn't. For example, sometimes the URLs within the emails have destinations, and you do get a screenshot and all further details, but it's not always the case. It would be good if they did a better job of enabling that for all the emails that they identified as malicious. When you get an email threat, you can go into the email and see more details, but the URL destination feature doesn't always show you a screenshot of the URL in that email. It also doesn't always give you the characteristics relating to that URL. It would be quite good if the information is complete where it says that we identified this URL, and this is what it looks like. There should be some threat intel about it. It should give you more details."
"The capability to not only thwart attacks but also to adapt to evolving threats is crucial."
"The tool gives inconsistent answers and crashes a lot."
"In the beginning, it's difficult to navigate the system because it is quite large. Just trying to find your way and understand how the system works can be hard. After spending quite a lot of time searching it's a lot easier, but I wish it were a bit more user-friendly when you're trying to find things."
"Stability could be improved by avoiding frequent changes to the interface."
"365 Defender has multiple subsets, including Defender for Cloud Apps. When integrating Defender for Cloud Apps with apps on third-party cloud platforms like AWS or GCP, there are limitations on our ability to control user activities. If Microsoft added more control over third-party products, that would be a game-changer and help us quite a lot."
"I personally have not seen much evidence of how Defender can enhance the story of zero trust for enterprises."
"We can't do scanning audits or device blocking or application control."
"The ability to receive text alerts natively in the console would be kind of cool."
"It would be nice if they did have some sort of Active Directory tie-in, whether that be Azure or on-prem. Sometimes, it is difficult for us to determine if we are missing any endpoints or servers in CrowdStrike. We honestly don't have a great inventory, but it would be nice if CrowdStrike had a way to say this is everything in your environment, Active Directory-wise, and this is what doesn't have sensors. They try to do that now with a function that they have built-in, but I have been unsuccessful in having it help us identify what needs a sensor. So, better visibility of what doesn't have a sensor in our environment would be helpful."
"A year and a half ago or more, if you put in a support request by email, then it wasn't timely addressed. It could be a day to three days before you received a response, which was a bit frustrating. There was a lot of customer feedback around this issue, which has been greatly refined."
"CrowdStrike needs to quit making up stuff about its features and functionality to bash its competition."
"Support, particularly related to after-sales and after deployment, could be improved a bit. If you need to connect to support, it takes at least a day to reach the support team and get a proper reply."
"The technical support could improve because I am in India and the support I receive is from the UK or Australia. It is difficult to manage the time difference. The service could be faster. However, when we do have the support they are knowledgeable."
"CrowdStrike should add support for ransomware protection."
"The product is more expensive than other vendors in terms of features."
