Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature is the ability to gain deep visibility into the workloads inside containers.""Support has been very helpful and provides regular feedback and help whenever needed. They've been very useful.""I like CSPM the most. It captures a lot of alerts within a short period of time. When an alert gets triggered on the cloud, it throws an alert within half an hour, which is very reasonable. It is a plus point for us.""All the features we use are equal and get the job done.""I did a lot of research before signing up and doing the demo. They have a good reputation as far as catching threats early on.""Cloud Native Security's most valuable features include cloud misconfiguration detection and remediation, compliance monitoring, a robust authentication security engine, and cloud threat detection and response capabilities.""The multi-cloud support is valuable. They are expanding to different clouds. It is not restricted to only AWS. It allows us to have different clouds on one platform.""Atlas security graph is pretty cool. It maps out relationships between components on AWS, like load balancers and servers. This helps visualize potential attack paths and even suggests attack paths a malicious actor might take."

"One important security feature is the incident alerts. Now, with all these cyberattacks, there are a lot of incident alerts that get triggered. It is very difficult to keep monitoring everything automatically, instead our organization is utilizing the automated use case that we get from Microsoft. That has helped bring down the manual work for a lot of things.""It has seamless integration with any of the services I mentioned, on Azure, such as IaaS platforms, virtual machines, applications, or databases, because it's an in-house product from Microsoft within the Azure ecosystem.""The vulnerability reporting is helpful. When we initially deployed Defender, it reported many more threats than we currently see. It gave us insight into areas we had not previously considered, so we knew where we needed to act.""The most valuable features are ransomware protection and access controls. The solution has helped us secure some folders on our systems from unauthorized modifications.""Technical support is helpful.""Most importantly, it's an integrated solution. We not only have Defender for Cloud, but we also have Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, and Defender for Identity. It's an integrated, holistic solution.""The solution's robust security posture is the most valuable feature.""It's got a lot of great features."

"The the most valuable feature is the scanning engine. It does not impact server performance. It's very lightweight.""The perfect package for all security platforms, providing more than any other endpoint solution.""Detection response and cloud conformity are valuable features.""Virtual patching is one of the key features, which is executed with their IPS.""The stability is quite good.""The most valuable features are intrusion prevention and anti-malware capabilities.""The tech support is excellent. They really know their products. They also know a lot of about the integrations between different solutions.""Trend Vision One - Cloud Security's best features are security analysis, remote access security, and driver security."

Cons
"It would be really helpful if the solution improves its agent deployment process.""There should be more documentation about the product.""The Automation tab is an add-on that doesn’t work properly. They provide a list of scripts that don’t work and I have asked support to assist but they won’t help. When running on various endpoints the script doesn’t work and if it does, it’s only a couple. There are a lot of useful scripts that would be beneficial to run forensics, event logs, and process lists running on the endpoint.""Whenever I view the processes and the process aspect, it takes a long time to load.""Cloud Native Security's reporting could be better. We are unable to see which images are impacted. Several thousand images have been deployed, so if we can see some application-specific information in the dashboard, we can directly send that report to the team that owns the application. We'd also like the option to download the report from the portal instead of waiting for the report to be sent to our email.""For vulnerabilities, they are showing CVE ID. The naming convention should be better so that it indicates the container where a vulnerability is present. Currently, they are only showing CVE ID, but the same CVE ID might be present in multiple containers. We would like to have the container name so that we can easily fix the issue.""The categorization of the results from the vulnerability assessment could be improved.""Their search feature could be better."

More SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security Cons →

"They could always work to make the pricing a bit lower.""Microsoft sources most of their threat intelligence internally, but I think they should open themselves up to bodies that provide feel intelligence to build a better engine. There may be threats out there that they don't report because their team is not doing anything on that and they don't have arrangements with another party that is involved in that research.""After getting a recommendation, it takes time for the solution to refresh properly to show that the problem has been eliminated.""The overview provides you with good information, but if you want more details, there is a lot more customization to do, which requires knowledge of the other supporting solutions.""From a compliance standpoint, they can include some more metrics and some specific compliances such as GDPR.""One of the main challenges that we have been facing with Azure Security Center is the cost. The costs are really a complex calculation, e.g., to calculate the monthly costs. Azure is calculating on an hourly basis for use of the resource. Because of this, we found it really complex to promote what will be our costs for the next couple of months. I think if Azure could reduce the complex calculation and come up with straightforward cost mapping that would be very useful from a product point of view.""No possibility to write or edit any capability.""We would like to have better transparency as to how the security score is calculated because as it is now, it is difficult to understand."

More Microsoft Defender for Cloud Cons →

"Documentation on cloud architecture and job architecture would be helpful.""The licensing model could be improved. To gain full coverage, you need to spend more to buy subscriptions for each kind of service they offer. It will start to be pricey if you want full coverage.""Trend Vision One - Cloud Security could improve connections with different types of authentication and user groups concerning cloud services.""The workbook insights generate a massive list, making it inconvenient to review.""The initial setup can be complex for the inexperienced.""The product could use a little bit of automation.""Securing S3 using Trend Vision One - Cloud Security can cost too much. Trend Vision One - Cloud Security has a tool that requires lots of privileges. From my understanding, it's only for static application testing, so they need to add dynamic application testing, and there should be more collaboration with the application testing tools on the market. We have not used this product, and I don't know if they plan to decommission it or something. They should focus on application security because this tool's unique feature is multi-cloud support. However, they should improve integration with tools for these kinds of use cases, especially application security and dynamic scanning. For example, I would like it to support Dell SecureOps. I'd also like to see some enhancements to API gateway security.""They should provide a way for users to see violations for specific compliance."

  • "Singularity Cloud Workload Security's licensing and price were cheaper than the other solutions we looked at."
  • "I understand that SentinelOne is a market leader, but the bill we received was astronomical."
  • "It's not expensive. The product is in its initial growth stages and appears more competitive compared to others. It comes in different variants, and I believe the enterprise version costs around $55 per user per year. I would rate it a five, somewhere fairly moderate."
  • "The pricing is fair. It is not inexpensive, and it is also not expensive. When managing a large organization, it is going to be costly, but it meets the business needs. In terms of what is out there on the market, it is fair and comparable to what I have seen, so I do not have any complaints about the cost"

  • "I'm not privy to that information, but I know it's probably close to a million dollars a year."
  • "We are using the free version of the Azure Security Center."
  • "Azure Defender is a bit pricey. The price could be lower."
  • "This is a worldwide service and depending on the country, there will be different prices."
  • "Security Center charges $15 per resource for any workload that you onboard into it. They charge per VM or per data-base server or per application. It's not like Microsoft 365 licensing, where there are levels like E3 and E5. Security Center is pretty straightforward."
  • "There is a helpful cost-reducing option that allows you to integrate production subscriptions with non-production subscriptions."
  • "Its pricing is a little bit high in terms of Azure Security Center, but the good thing is that we don't need to maintain and deploy it. So, while the pricing is high, it is native to Azure which is why we prefer using this tool."
  • "I am not involved in this area. However, I believe its price is okay because even small customers are using Azure Security Center. I don't think it is very expensive."
