We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"CyberFlood is flexible.""CyberFlood's best features are its user-friendliness and scheduling function.""The feature I find most valuable is the traffic generator.""Our customers use it to check for unauthorized file transfer."

"One thing that I like about Veracode is that it is quite a good tool for dynamic application testing.""I like the sandbox, the ability to upload compiled code, and how easy it is.""Code analysis tool to help identify code issues before entered into production.""The developers' awareness of the security weaknesses within their code has improved. They aren't just mitigating these issues, they are realizing these are, in fact, issues that have to be dealt with.""I have used this solution in multiple projects for vulnerability testing and finding security leaks within the code.""You can easily integrate it with Azure DevOps. This is an added value because we work with Azure DevOps. Veracode is natively supported and we don't have to work with APIs.""The solution's ability to help create secure software is very valuable. We're a zero-trust networking company so we want to have the ability to say that we're practicing security seriously. Having something like Veracode allows us to have confidence when we're speaking to people about our product that we can back up what we're doing with a certification, with a reputable platform, and say, "This is what we're using to scan an application. Here's the number of vulnerabilities that are on an application. And here's the risk that we're accepting."""I like its integration with GitHub. I like using it from GitHub. I can use the GitHub URL and find out the vulnerabilities."

Cons
"CyberFlood's accessibility and support for multiple browsers could be better.""The solution needs more ports, more speed, and more gigabytes.""Sometimes, when you configure parameters the hardware can't run, it will get stuck at those points without telling you what happened. It would be helpful if the error reporting provided more details about why the test setting is not running. It would be nice if there were a space in the hardware module for you to add some external hardware for more rigorous testing.""I would also like to see updates on a more frequent schedule."

"There might be room for improvement in the in-app guidance and the tips and tricks for the developer about how to progress. We would like more insight into the development environment, where they would get guidance on how to avoid flaws.""The Web portal, at times, is not necessarily intuitive. I can get around when I want to but there are times when I have to email my account manager on: "Hey, where do I find this report?" Or "How do I do this?" They always respond with, "Here's how you do it." But that points to a somewhat non-intuitive portal.""Improve Mobile Application Dynamic Scanning DAST - .ipa and .apk""Their platform is not consistent. It needs a lot of user experience updates. It's slow performing, and they log you out of the system every 15 minutes, so using the platform is challenging from a developer's perspective because you always have to log in.""Maybe the pipeline scanning doesn't support enough languages. It might only support Java and Python only, so that could be improved.""It would be nice if Veracode were bundled with some preferred vendors like Salesforce and offered at a discount.""Sometimes, I get feedback from a developer saying, "They are scanning a Python code, but getting feedback around Java code." While the remediation and guidelines are there, improvement is still required, e.g., you won't get the exact guidelines, but you can get some sort of a high-level insights.""We have encountered occasional issues with scalability."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "CyberFlood is reasonably priced."
  • More Spirent CyberFlood Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Its complexity makes it quite expensive, but it’s all worth it, with all the engineering in the background."
  • "The pricing is pretty high."
  • "The worst part about the product is that it does not scale at all. Also, microservices apps will cost you a fortune."
  • "I think licensing needs to be changed or updated so that it works with adjustments. Pricing is expensive compared to the amount of scanning we perform."
  • "It's worth the value"
  • "Pricing seems fair for what is offered, and licensing has been no problem. All developers are able to get the access they need."
  • "It can be expensive to do this, so I would just make sure that you're getting the proper number of licenses. Do your analysis. Make sure you know exactly what it is you need, going in."
  • "The licensing and prices were upfront and clear. They stand behind everything that is said during the commercial phase and during the onboarding phase. Even the most irrelevant "that can be done" was delivered, no matter how important the request was."
