We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Compute@Edge features are valuable to me.""Fastly uses configuration versioning, where you can deploy a new version in less than one minute.""The product helps our organization to access sites located in different regions quickly.""Rate limiting is a good feature that protects from volumetric attacks.""Support is good; the product works as advertised. We have a Slack connection with them. So we can basically ask for help, live, engage, and ring when they respond. Very quickly.""Its initial setup process is straightforward."

"Compared to other web application firewalls in the market, Imperva does things in the most accurate way.""The solution can scale.""The most valuable feature of Imperva, in addition to its strong knowledge base, is its effective protection for web applications.""There are some features that are configured by default, so even without doing much, it can still provide a level of protection.""The solution integrates seamlessly with other tools and has a good alert mechanism.""Data masking is the most valuable feature of this solution.""The tool's profiling feature maps all the web application directories and related components on the profile directory. It has improved the security of my client's website applications.""If you are using the appliance as opposed to the virtual deployment, it can stand as the network layer-two and provide real transparency."

Cons
"The product should provide improved bot detection and management.""Stronger analytics would be helpful, like showing configurations that haven't served a certain amount of traffic in a while. With many properties, things can get lost track of - duplicates or unused configurations not properly decommissioned.""Fastly's customer service area needs improvement.""Support is not that great.""It is missing a "staging" platform to deploy a test configuration with all of the real settings, which would allow us to properly test before putting it into production.""The solution's pricing could be better."

More Fastly Cons →

"It's a complicated tool to keep.""An improvement for Imperva WAF would be to reduce the number of false positives and create more strong use cases based on AI/ML or behavioral analytics.""The solution works for particular zones but isn't always the best solution for all zones.""The tool needs to improve CPU and storage memory.""Imperva Web Application Firewall is a good system, but we found that the visibility of the diverse-path server, e.g. where the traffic is coming from, the different IPs, etc., needs improvement.""One potential improvement for Imperva is enhancing its alert system.""It would be useful if the solution used more intelligence in attack protection. For example, firewalls are to be dependent on the configuration, but if they could have some data science around it the solution would be even better. The profiling of the traffic, and making decisions surrounding that should be intelligence-based, instead of being based on the configuration of the firewall itself.""Imperva Web Application Firewall can improve by adding more features to the dashboard. increasing the visibility of the real-time events, besides configuring the administration itself."
