We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"If you have a lot of devices, like we do, then you have to have one single pane of view, otherwise we lose too much time. So, we needed this type of solution.""We cannot function without this solution. ""Comprehensive dashboard, ease of use are key features.""We have the dashboard up on a big screen, and you can actually see when things go wrong or if there are any faults with any of the servers. The backup is automated as well, so the appliance is quite good.""The stability is very good. I have never had an issue with it over the three years that I have been using it.""The most valuable features of HPE OneView are environment monitoring, the ease of firmware upgrade, and the ability to manage all the servers and the infrastructure from one team.""The most valuable features are the composable structure, infrastructure, and automation.""The OneView Global Dashboard is very user-friendly and it can be used for monitoring the power consumption and temperature of the data center and racks."

"The product helps users stay on top of gaining insight into the active directory, permissions and security sets, and user group policy changes.""The technical support is good.""It is easy to identify and collect information from all of the nodes on the network."

Cons
"It's a little slow sometimes. Overall, I think it does what it's supposed to do. I think that as they evolve it, it'll get quicker.""I think HPE could make more user-friendly interfaces, exclude Java and move to an HTML5 platform, make more detailed documentation, and lower the price.""I had some minor difficulties with upgrading, but the solution still works fine.""We've had a few issues. We just upgraded to the 3.9.0 version. We think that now that we are on that version, hopefully a lot of those things are going to go away for us.""Those features, coming in version 4, that we're looking for are the discovery, primarily. But I think the scope-based access control is of interest, although, we didn't see any directory integration, so that, in itself, seems like it's still limited.""The tool doesn't send automated alerts via email...We should be able to receive notification emails when a server or hardware issue arises, which would be helpful if someone is unavailable in the office.""Sometimes the interface can be a little confusing, sometimes the error messages can be very cryptic, as far as what's actually going on.""We ran into a couple of issues here and there with the baselines for the firmware and not having enough space on the appliance itself to be able to have more than two baselines."

"The product could use more intelligence, automation and general availability of product information.""We would like to have support for integration with ServiceDesk.""The ManageEngine features could improve to show graphs of the traffic and network utility."
