We performed a comparison between IBM Integration Bus and Workday Business Process Framework based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The solution offers good performance and is stable."
"Seamlessly integrates your different applications."
"I use the integration of Kafka and the message flow, which is really good. It is also good for moving any file from one location to another. Using IBM Integration Bus in the data stage is pretty simple. You can see the preview and other things. The MQ server integrated with IBM Integration Bus is really great. I don't have to do a lot of configuration from that side. It is really good."
"The solution addresses all of our middleware needs in respect of transformation, parsing, security and stability; everything really."
"The message queue, like, message queue connectors. Then they have a built in connectors for most of the systems, like SAP, oracle database, and this Civil connector is there. Of course, we have this SQL database connector So those built in connectors are there. For the almost most of the systems, we have built in connectors. And second thing is that it is a stateless Integration, so it doesn't maintain a state of the integration. Bus the Stitches Integration makes it very fast."
"It is one of the most stable products which I have seen in the market."
"The product is a user-customized tool so that you can adjust it to your specific needs pretty well with little trouble."
"IBM Integration Bus's best feature is integration."
"The tool helps to do multiple things like assigning tasks, approvals, report creation, and communications."
"It is efficient to fine-tune some of our organizational processes and policies."
"I find it easy to navigate, especially when it comes to tasks like extending offer letters. Everything is configured into a single template, eliminating the need to create multiple offer letters for different positions. The effectiveness, user-friendliness, and adaptability to new features are key strengths of Workday. It's also convenient for sourcing, allowing us to revisit candidates who performed well but didn't pass the interview. Workday's harmonized platform brings everything together in one place, making it efficient and streamlined."
"The user interface could be improved in a future release."
"Performance can be an issue sometimes. The tool occasionally crashes due to memory-related problems. We've reported these issues to IBM, and they are actively working on improving the tooling experience."
"It needs improvement in terms of technical support as well as in terms of integration of data mining. I am not convinced about many things in this solution, such as the conversion of the DFDL or copybook file, which is the conversion from a text file to XML. It is very complex. They should also provide more information about this solution in the IBM Knowledge Center. I can get a lot of information from the IBM Knowledge Center about DataStage, but I don't get that much information about IBM Integration Bus. There is hardly any information even on the internet and various channels such as YouTube. They can provide good step-by-step documentation based on a company's requirements. It would be really helpful. My company is mainly looking for data mining and communicating with multiple servers. IBM Integration Bus is good for communicating with multiple servers, but it needs improvement for XML conversion and data mining. We have a lot of old systems that use XML."
"The version of the technology and current knowledge is a bit outdated."
"I would rate the support from IBM Integration Bus a seven out of ten. They are very helpful but sometimes it takes too long for them to respond."
"Licensing is too high. It is quite expensive."
"I would like for them to make the training much easier."
"IBM does not support orchestration, which is how they designed it, and other BPM tools in the market support orchestration. If they merged the BPM capability into this product, then it would be a better solution."
"There could be more automation included."
"We encountered delays with the tool."
"At times, I've heard from our technical team that configuring or implementing certain requests from senior leadership can be challenging. There seem to be constraints in fulfilling specific requirements. Unfortunately, I don't have detailed information as it's what I've gathered from discussions with the technical team. There might be limitations in what can be achieved, but I can't provide specific examples without more context. Certainly, there's room for enhancement, especially in terms of regular upgrades. I've noticed that there aren't many updates, and it would be beneficial to have improvements. Regular upgrades and the introduction of new, innovative solutions could make our work more efficient and easier to manage."
