Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is using the Excel sheets on Chrome and other applications.""The initial setup is pretty straightforward.""We are getting more features after switching to Microsoft 365.""The selling feature is the most valuable.""We like the manufacturing and case management modules.""Microsoft Dynamics NAV is brilliant and it's a different segment when comparing it with Dynamics AX. Dynamics AX is a larger product with much more features and it's aimed at a different segment of the market.""It is a scalable solution. There are more than 5,000 end users in my organization.""This is readily available and affordable, as well as user-friendly and simple to use in my opinion."

"I have found there to be many features, such as manufacturing, accounting, financials, inventory, and purchasing.""The most valuable feature is that it works according to how the Internet works.""It is a very solid product for finance and procure-to-pay processes.""NetSuite ERP is good for a trading company that involves buying and selling.""The most valuable aspect of NetSuite ERP is the multi-subsidiary portion, it is the strongest across all the other ERPs. If you want to do consolidations, it works a lot better than other tools.""The most valuable feature in NetSuite ERP is the user interface.""We can install the bundles based on our needs.""We use it for the projects we do in the telecom industry."

Cons
"The initial setup of the solution was quite complex and the troubleshooting involved with that needs to be improved.""Since it's complex for a layperson user to understand the solution, it would be better if the solution provided some training resources.""The solution is not best suited for larger-scale businesses.""Microsoft Dynamics NAV will be replaced with Office 365 in the future.""I would like a more modular and user-friendly interface.""The product should improve work optimization.""Microsoft Dynamics NAV could improve the reporting.""The configuration packages can be somewhat tiresome at times, and they can be slow when loading data."

More Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Cons →

"If you do go through an implementor, you need to be careful that they are actual implementors and not just resellers.""Some of the features around the payroll and payroll taxes and management of that are lacking. We had to outsource some of that because we found that the functionality isn't there.""If they could provide more integration options to connect with different products, that would be ideal.""NetSuite is good for data management, but it's missing payroll features.""An area for improvement in NetSuite ERP is its accounting functionality because it has certain limitations. You can't maintain sub-ledgers or post accrued expenses in sub-ledger forms, so you'll need to post in journals. The pricing is another area that can be improved in NetSuite ERP because the pricing was lower when it wasn't part of Oracle, but after Oracle acquired Netsuite and NetSuite ERP was offered as a cloud service, the price went up.""Additionally, adding advanced modules such as AI components or customer service modules could help the system become more scalable.""Improvement-wise, it should be more customizable. Currently, you can't enhance the product yourself in terms of development for any applications unless you've got a very strong and big development team. Those are the skills that are in very short supply.""Many features such as local taxation and fund management are not there yet."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The first time we tried to buy the newest version, it was expensive."
  • "I have some subscription-based customer and a few customers who have perpetual licenses that hosted the application on the cloud."
  • "The price of the solution is reasonable."
  • "The price of the solution is reasonable."
  • "I think the pricing is the best; it's cost effective for sure."
  • "Microsoft Dynamics NAV has a pay-as-you-use payment model."
  • "NAV might be a little pricey for a small or medium-sized company, but all the solutions out there are."
  • "The cost is one of the benefits. If you don't want to go for the full-blown finance and operations, the pricing model is a lot cheaper and has now switched to being based on a per-user subscription. So, if it's on cloud, you now have an expense instead of a large CapEx. If it's on-prem, you obviously still have to continue with the licensing model that they have, but if you compare the features and functionality, in terms of the price that you pay, I find it's better than other products. My answer on the pricing would be slightly different, depending on the country you're in and the return on investment, based on the size of the company. It's well-priced internationally. I think the new model is priced even better because it's now subscription-based and, if you go for cloud, the return on investment is a lot quicker and if it's expense, you can cap it. If you do take the on-prem version, the licensing is still priced as what it used to be, so that would depend on what country you are in."

  • "I would advise that you first meet with and scope out your project with a NetSuite VAR (Value Added Reseller)."
  • "When people buy ERP, it's a competitive situation and the pricing is paramount."
  • "It is completely on a subscription basis. We pay yearly and, and you do not have to do anything on a monthly basis. Prices depend on the organization's scale and all those things, but they are doing a good job with the pricing."
  • "There is an annual license required to use this solution."
  • "The price of the solution is quite high."
  • "NetSuite ERP has a cost per module you want to use, and then you have the license per user."
  • "Pricing for NetSuite ERP is okay, but it could be better. The licensing model for NetSuite ERP is based on the number of modules and users. The standard license covers up to twenty-five users. If you have more than twenty-five users, you'll have to buy the premium license, which would double the price. For one module with five user licenses, the cost is between $40,000 to $50,000."
  • "It's very competitively priced due to it being a subscription model. So, clients are quite happy with the pricing. I would rate it an eight out of ten in terms of pricing."
