"Easy to set up vulnerability scanner with good stability and a responsive technical support team."
"The most valuable features of Tenable Nessus are the scanning option. Advanced scanning is highly useful. The offline config audits and application assessments are useful."
"Nessus gives me a good preview of vulnerabilities and good suggestions for remediation. It's easy to find a description of a given vulnerability and solutions for it."
"Once you get past the initial implementation, the solution is very stable."
"Tenable Nessus streamlines the process of scanning for our organization."
"The features of Tenable Nessus that I have found most valuable are its reliability and its ability to collate a dependable output, where we are able to get the same vulnerability when we test manually. The output is quite reliable."
"I have found the vulnerability assessment and the reports to be useful."
"The most valuable aspect of this solution is that you receive the entire report, which details the breakdown, especially in terms of critical, high, low, and mediums."
"There is no burden of updating or upgrading this solution."
"It is pretty stable. I would rate it nine or maybe ten."
"The solution is easy to use and configuration is smooth with no complexities."
"You can customize each point in new scans."
"The integration of Tenable into our security ecosystem was very good."
"It is a very, very user-friendly tool...The setup is easy"
"The tool has an easy-to-use interface."
"The vulnerability management itself is the most valuable feature as well as references to the mitigation techniques."
"The reports are okay, but the interface is a bit difficult to navigate in some cases."
"Consumes more system resources when it's running."
"One area that has room for improvement is the reporting. I'm preparing reports for Windows and Linux machines, etc. Currently, I'm collecting three or four reports and turning them into one report. I don't know if it is possible to combine all of them in one report, but that would be helpful."
"The reports should be improved in Tenable Nessus. For example, when you are auditing compliance with CIS standards. It provides very poor reports."
"They should try to create an all-in-one solution."
"Remediation needs improvement."
"It would be better if they had application-level support for mobile devices. They don't have anything to scan mobile devices. Tenable Nessus doesn't have a mobile application vulnerability assessment. I also have issues with the false positive rates. The product has limited features."
"The reporting could be improved. The reporting in Rapid7 is much better."
"The stability has room for improvement."
"The solution must be promoted more in the market."
"The product could be easier to set up on the cloud."
"The user interface could be improved by being able to change the user interface to fit your position or your job. The graphs are set in stone and you can only print reports."
"The shortcoming of the solution that needs improvement is related to its capability to do vulnerability assessments on applications."
"The solution must provide penetration testing."
"They've been able to think about everything in terms of where the world is going and the type of assets that you've got. They've everything sorted out in that aspect, but you have to pay for most of the other components that they've got to give you complete visibility across your tech surface. If it already had those capabilities in-built, without having to add them on to take advantage of them, it would be a very compelling value proposition."
"Another area of improvement is customer service and support. Tenable needs to include support in the pricing/license. Currently, they push clients to get support from partners or channel distributors, who often charge a lot."
