Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Its dashboards are valuable. It is easy to access dashboards and implement policies.""Payloads, application publishing, and cataloging features are valuable to our customers.""This solution is very dynamic. I can do what I need to do with it.""The solution's customer support is good.""Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.""The solution is stable and reliable.""The tool's most valuable feature is a remote connection to the devices. You can also push and lock applications. It helps us lock devices for professional use to control which applications can be installed.""The most valuable features of 42Gears SureMDM include tracking location and pushing applications."

"The reporting and analytics features in Microsoft Intune have been a lifesaver.""It's not working perfectly, but Microsoft's Autopilot offers great visibility into automated deployment solutions.""Maturity makes it a stable product.""We can manage and standardize security across your environment, identify problems, receive alerts, and so on. That's its purpose, and that's also why it's so good.""I haven't used other mobile device management solutions, but compared to SCCM, we eliminate a lot of on-premises infrastructure and maintenance by using Intune.""The policy and compliance monitoring of devices and the software deployment are most valuable.""The overall user experience is quite nice. Cons
"The product is not so convenient to deploy or to configure.""As a partner, we consider 42Gears to be a unified endpoint management (UEM) solution. So, we should be able to manage users with this particular solution. This is something that is currently not there. It is probably an area for improvement for 42Gears.""The solution’s pricing could be made cheaper.""42Gears SureMDM needs to improve support because it may take around one to two days to receive a revert.""User creation on Mac must be improved.""The user interface and customization features are not the best and could be improved.""The dashboards could be improved."

More 42Gears SureMDM Cons →

"We faced issues with macOS support. The product should have better inventory and asset management.""Additional application deployment options e.g. MSI deployment with more complex parameters or additional side-by-side files, and non-MSI deployment options.""I wanted to check if there is any provision at the Intune level to restrict certain things, such as a website, but unfortunately, that feature is available only in Microsoft Defender. Intune has web filtering capabilities, but they are only useful for protection from malicious websites, whereas we would like to be able to restrict a website. For example, YouTube is a clean website. No one would identify it as a malicious website, but if we want to stop the end-users from going to that website, we have to go for another product, such as Microsoft Defender or another third-party proxy solution. It would be great if this capability is included in Intune.""Integration with Mac devices requires some improvement.""Reporting and troubleshooting for the application deployment could be better. It's very difficult to understand.""There is room for improvement in integration and security as well.""Intune has limited integration with non-Microsoft solutions.""I think that there is room for improvement with the reporting. If this is done, it will be a better product."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."
