It provides low-latency throughput
We're a media site, so we use Akamai for content delivery and streaming. It's spread across multiple departments. We're using several Akamai tools, including Property Manager, Cloud Identity, Bot Manager Premium, the CDN, and AMD for video streaming.  Akamai provides low-latency throughput. I'd…

The control panel is nicely laid out and I do not have to hunt for functionality
I manage about 25 websites, which have a lot of imagery. Most of the sites use WordPress I selected CDN77 because it has servers where our different target markets are (some are in Asia). It is extremely easy to set up and integrate with WordPress and purge files as needed through the control…

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is very sustainable and flexible."
"If an attacker conducts an attack, we can check what query he is running and whether he wants to see our password or any other files."
"Akamai's scalability is good."
"It's a scalable and reliable solution."
"As of now, the best thing about Akamai is WAF, and though CDN is a good feature, it comes in second place when compared to WAF. I am very impressed with the WAF offered by Akamai."
"Akamai has a very established network of PoPs globally."
"We can see how much traffic can be downloaded on the portal."
"The solution's technical support is very good...The installation phase of Akamai was easy."
"Purge pages: It is a fast solution for updating my content from all datacenters."
"It has helped improve load speed on the site."
"I selected CDN77 because it has servers where our different target markets are (some are in Asia)."
"The control panel is nicely laid out and I do not have to hunt for functionality."
"It has improved our organization by providing quick access to resources."
"It is extremely easy to set up and integrate with WordPress and purge files as needed through the control panel."

Cons

"Akamai could improve by providing its own cloud services. We have to use third-party cloud services at this time, such as Amazon AWS. The offering becomes a lot easier for an SMB if everything was in one single platform to be used for the services."
"Akamai's configuration part is an area of concern where improvements are required to make the process easy."
"The fact that it is an expensive product is its only shortcoming."
"The product's scalability can be improved since certain shortcomings regarding the security part of the solution currently exist."
"I'd like to see improvements in log files and data visualizations within the interface."
"I'd like to see more Web 3.0 and IoT solutions."
"When we open tickets, we have a delay in response times."
"The solution could offer more integrations."
"If you are a low-use user and not used the minimum credit, it will be lost at end of year unless you upgrade, then you are left with more bandwidth than you can ever use."
"A year ago, I had to deal with SEO factors involving duplication of content."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Akamai is an expensive tool. Moreover, we have a pay-as-you-go model for additional features."
"It is an expensive product. The licensing costs for the solution are based on the usage. If we need premium support, we need to buy it from Akamai."
"Price-wise, I find Akamai's pricing model's inclination to be more towards the expensive side of the spectrum, though I can't say that it is a very expensive product."
"The pricing of Akamai is moderate, in my opinion. My company makes yearly payments towards the licensing costs attached to Akamai. There are no additional costs besides the licensing costs for the solution."
"The price of Akamai could be less expensive."
"The solution can be one of the more expensive options, reflecting their established market position."
"Quite high in price, but equivalent to other enterprise products on the market"
"This is a very expensive solution but it works well."
"For low-use users, it can be more expensive than it seems. It would be a disadvantage for a lot of hobby users."
"I would suggest low usage cases that there are other options available, such as WordPress's own CDN."
"Regarding the pricing, it is expensive. It may not suit others. I suggest a lower recharge level and also to remove the credit expiry time."
