Pros
"Fortinet FortiEDR's scalability is quite good, and you can add licenses to the solution.""The product's initial setup phase is very easy.""Forensics is a valuable feature of Fortinet FortiEDR.""This is stable and scalable.""NGAV and EDR features are outstanding.""I get alerts when scripts are detected in the environment.""Additionally, when it comes to EDR, there are more tools available to assist with client work.""The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers."

"We find the protection the solution provides valuable.""What I appreciate most about Bitdefender are its web content filtering, blocking malicious sites, and its ability to thwart brute force attacks on open ports.""The features I found most valuable in Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security include anti-malware, spyware detection, firewall, network detection, and user behavior analytics. The solution also gives you a heads-up about operating system misconfiguration.""The product provides a single dashboard.""Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security has a lot of telemetry that allows me to really see what's going on with the device.""It is perfectly stable. We haven't received any complaints from customers regarding stability or performance. It's been smooth sailing so far.""The most valuable feature is the IDS.""Security for malware and threats is the most valuable feature."

Cons
"The SIEM could be improved.""The solution's installation from a central installation server could be improved because the engineers had a little bit of trouble getting it installed from a central location.""We've had a lot of false positives; things incorrectly flagged that require manual configuration to allow. Even worse, after we allow a legitimate program, it sometimes gets flagged again after an update. This has caused a lot of extra work for my team.""Integration with Azure and SaaS provisioning tools could improve Fortinet FortiEDR.""Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later.""The solution is not stable.""Everything with Fortinet having to do with their cloud services. They need to invest more in their internal infrastructure that they are running in the cloud. One of the things I find with their cloud environment compared to others' is that they go cheap on the equipment. So it causes some performance degradation.""Detections could be improved."

More Fortinet FortiEDR Cons →

"The risk management tool does not have reporting, which I feel to be a huge mistake.""They've got all this training that's available, but it involves stuff that doesn't really encompass the solution as a whole.""The firewall capabilities could benefit from an upgrade since it lacks a high level of granularity and control.""Potential areas for improvement could be more accessible and immediate support for critical situations, especially considering the regulatory challenges in healthcare.""The price has increased marginally recently and I would prefer if they didn't raise rates.""I like the Application Control feature, but it's a bit tricky. Managing it can be a bit cumbersome sometimes.""There are compatibility concerns as Bitdefender does not support Windows 7.""Overall, Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security is quite good. It always has new features which customers can use for free, so I can't say that something is missing in the solution, though one area for improvement is that the cloud version of Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security still can't connect to a central SIEM. The on-premises version has that capability, but the cloud version doesn't."

More Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security Cons →

"One area for improvement in FortiClient is the speed of connectivity.""While we like patch management, it would be nice if it could handle patch management for other solutions, like Microsoft.""We would like Fortinet to add the function or the possibility to use all FortiClient features for free.""The solution could be more secure. I would like to see more safety features.""Fortinet FortiClient could improve the connection because sometimes it drops.""Initially, the support was very poor. It is getting better, but they should continue to improve this.""We do not use the solution every day and there are times when the new users have trouble reconnecting. The technology itself works but our users getting adopted to it is a major problem. Having the user adapt to the desktop landing page that it begins on is throwing them off a bit.""The documentation could be improved."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.
