Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Bonita is user-friendly.""The user interface is easy to use.""Bonita is simple and lightweight and is flexible to integrate with third-party systems. The UI is now flexible, whereas it was previously rigid. Any technology can be used as a frontend, including ReactJS, Angular, and others.""Its user-friendliness, along with the availability of comprehensive and clear documentation on the website is the most valuable.""Development of forms and flows.""One of the most valuable features is you can create without coding, it is a low code platform.""This product is very easy-to-use and user-friendly.""The solution is easy to use."

"It is a stable product.""The robotic process automation has increased the confidence of business users.""The solution is operating well overall.""The most valuable features are case management and integration services.""There is a feature to accelerate the development so that business analysts can directly create their user stories and assign the task to the developers.""Pega BPM has a full suite for any enterprise. It is a process orchestration platform. It has detailed features for case management and workflows.""The solution's most valuable feature is its quick setup. Nowhere else you can create a good-looking application this quick. It's a fairly robust system.""The most valuable feature is the situational layer cake."

Cons
"I should be able to park the tasks that are within a process in a kind of container, and dynamically, a super admin should be able to connect these processes. This kind of feature might be helpful.""I would like to improve the product's load balancing.""There is a considerable learning curve.""Installation could be made easier.""We are struggling a bit with integrations.""It would be nice to have a wizard to help walk through the development process and create a backbone.""The main issue with Bonita is that the workspace crashes sometimes.""It is missing some important features that other products have."

More Bonita Cons →

"Pega's technical support could be better.""Reporting is not so clear and not so great. We really struggle to get the right reporting. When we need reporting based on the content of the tickets, we are not able to get it. The MIS reporting is not great. That's one of the reasons why we are switching to ServiceNow. Its compatibility with the higher versions of Internet Explorer should be improved. It really works well in Mozilla Firefox or any other browser, but when it comes to Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer, sometimes, the layout gets disturbed. The positioning of the buttons changes, and there is some distortion in the layout. I am not sure whether it is our configuration problem or Pega's, but when it is working in Mozilla Firefox, it should also work in Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer.""The pricing model needs to be improved. Right now, it's too expensive.""Sometimes when we are patching some data from the database, we are getting added as a timeout.""Pega Cloud early adoption and use for cross enterprise capability was new to many. The early adoption meant version 2.0 of their cloud service may require refactoring and redesign of some services.""Currently, there isn't any feature I want to be added in the next release of Pega BPM because Pega always adds new features that my team welcomes and looks forward to learning. One area for improvement in the solution is the long learning curve, but after that, you'll find Pega BPM easy to use.""The local development approach is good in Pega, however, cost-wise, it's getting expensive. That needs to be addressed.""We have experienced a few technical challenges, particularly triggering the workflow through file drops and accessing files."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "have installed the image of Bonita BPM on Amazon AWS and there is just one option to use and pay for."

  • "I believe this is a very good financial choice."
  • "The Community Edition comes free of charge."
  • "We are using the Community Version, which can be used free of charge."
  • "Licensing cost for the Enterprise edition comes out to be around 40,000 a year. There is also a Community edition, which is free. Some customers can go for the Community edition, but some of them require the Enterprise edition. Big companies go for the Enterprise edition, which comes with a lot of additional features such as a mobile app."
  • "The price of the solution is reasonable."
  • "The price is fair for what we are using the solution for."

  • "Licensing is expensive. You need to wisely select between per user and per case."
  • "They have both on-premise and cloud licensing. If you are a small to medium company, go for the cloud option because that eliminates a lot of the setting up of your DevTest and performance environments, multiple environments, because you can buy that from Pega with the cloud option. So your setup time really goes down. If you're a large company, then you're better off putting it within your company. You have other skill resources within your company to create environments."
  • "They need to come up with licensing options. Right now they do have a cloud-based option, but the cloud prices I've seen are much more expensive compared to competing products."
  • "The licensing fees are based on the number of users."
  • "May be somewhat more expensive than other solutions initially, but should have enhanced return on investment."
  • "The price of this solution, including installation and configuration, is comparable to competing vendors."
  • "The pricing is pretty good, compared to other similar products."
  • "It's a user-based license where, as you scale the numbers of users, the price increases."
