We performed a comparison between Boomi iPaaS and SnapLogic based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The connection configuration part and the drag-and-drop integration module are the most valuable features for me."
"It is a low-code and high-configuration platform, which is very valuable. Develop once and run anywhere is another useful feature. It also has connectors for more than 200 applications. It provides value for money. Our customers who have implemented this solution have a very high ROI."
"It has been a stable product."
"The tool's most valuable features I've found are related to debugging and testing. It makes it easy to track execution, documents, and process history. This functionality is particularly useful for identifying issues with data and providing insights to the business."
"We work on the flow between systems and the most valuable features for that purpose are the mapping of data, interface mapping, and data integration."
"Low-code development is the most valuable feature."
"The product's integration features are quite rich and low code. It is easy to use."
"The Salesforce and NetSuite Application specific “connectors” provide a layer of abstraction on top of the SOAP-based APIs to streamline integration development."
"The product is easy to use and has many connectivity options."
"I found SnapLogic valuable and what I found most valuable about it was its ETL feature. I also found its automation feature valuable. It can be used for automating manual activities. It can be used as a middleware for certain transactional data processing and minimal datasets and ETL activities."
"You can use other languages, such as Python, and easily connect to other systems."
"It is a scalable solution."
"The API architecture makes it easy for orchestration."
"SnapLogice is a low-code development tool."
"Despite having no prior experience in SnapLogic, we managed to build, test, and prepare it for release in just three hours, handling heavy data efficiently."
"The solution is easy to implement and easy to use. It's basically just drag and drop."
"Have to create some of our own pre-built connectors."
"They should create a custom connector option. With this, they could improve where the user can create the connector, based on their usage."
"There are more mature (dedicated) API management and master data management (MDM) solutions available in the market."
"The API can use some work to come up to speed with the competition but Dell has plans and is working on resolving that."
"We encountered stability issues occasionally, one to two times a year."
"Boomi AtomSphere Integration is not yet exposed to the world as a good product owing to certain shortcomings in the area of marketing where improvements are required."
"They need to introduce more configurable functions to remove scripting or coding. Scripting should be minimized. It should have exhaustive functions. Currently, it lacks in this aspect."
"In my experience, I haven't encountered any major issues with the tool. However, there could be a learning curve for new users, especially depending on which tool you're using. For example, I've used MuleSoft in the past, which is more code-oriented and requires knowledge of Java. Transitioning to Boomi AtomSphere Integration took me a couple of months because of differences in terminology."
"We'd like zero downtime in the future."
"What could be improved in SnapLogic is that it was not capable in terms of processing a large number of datasets, but at that point, SnapLogic was evolving. It didn't give a lot of Snaps. I heard recently there are a lot of Snaps getting added and the solution was being enhanced, particularly to connect different data sources. When I was working with SnapLogic six months to one year back, I faced the issue of it not being capable of handling a huge volume of datasets or didn't have much of Snaps, and that was the drawback. If there is any large number of data sets, that's based on or depends on your configuration. If it is a huge volume of data, other traditional ETL tools such as Informatica and Talend can process millions and billions of records, while in SnapLogic, the Snaplex fails or it returns an error in terms of processing that huge volume of data. Informatica, Talend, or any other ETL tool can run for hours in terms of jobs, while SnapLogic jobs fail when the threshold is reached. SnapLogic isn't able to withstand processing, but I don't know if that's still an issue at present, because the solution is getting enhanced and it's been more than six months to one year since I last worked with SnapLogic. There are now a lot of Snaps getting added to the solution, and if it can overcome the limitations I mentioned, SnapLogic could be the go-to tool because currently, it's not being used as much in organizations. It's being used comparatively less compared to other retail tools."
"SnapLogic sits somewhere in the middle. It doesn’t offer enough easy canned integrations for its users like some of the easier to use integration apps."
"I am looking for more scheduling options. When it comes to scheduling, there are different tools in the market."
"One of the areas for improvement in SnapLogic is that the connectors for some of the applications should be more available in terms of testing in the dev environment. Another area for improvement is that the logging should be standardized, for example, the integration with an ELK stack should be required out-of-the-box, so you can ship the log and have it in the ELK stack. There should be integration with ELK stack for the log shipping."
"They should expand in terms of features for SaaS-based market requirements in different sectors."
"SnapLogic should have some inbuilt protocol mechanism in order to speed up."
"The dashboards regarding scheduled tasks need further improvement."
