We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable features are the antivirus as a whole, the anti-malware, and all of the protection features that scan our enterprise devices.""On the outside, the main differentiation is because Lookout ingest. They have ingested basically all of the apps for the last ten years and all the versions of all the apps, and we have that in a corporate database that allows us to do very large-scale machine learning and analysis on that data set. That's not something that any of the competitors really have the capability to do because they don't have access to the data set. A lot of the apps you can no longer get them because that version of the app is five or six years old, and it just doesn't exist anywhere anymore, except within our infrastructure. So, the ability to have that very rich dataset and learn from that dataset is a real differentiator.""The protection offered by the product is the most valuable feature. It detects vulnerabilities or traps on our users' phones and then prompts them to clean up their devices. Tools we used previously would only discover, which required us to gather information on the backend, so Lookout is a welcome upgrade.""The solution is stable."

"I find it very easy to implement and deploy in the organization.""It has centralized management that allows administrators to supervise and control the security of the entire network.""It's improved the security of every single OS in the organization as well as the visibility and security capabilities.""It is a very stable solution.""Check Point provides high-quality technical support. The support was pretty quick.""The solution offers both client and clientless versions for good remote access.""The installation is very easy.""The characteristics that I have liked the most are the ease of implementation and administration."

"The most valuable features of Zscaler Private Access are its ability to integrate with multiple IDPs and application segmentation.""I find all Zscaler Private Access features valuable because each replaces flawed technologies, such as EPAs being replacements for VPN and PR as a replacement for PAM, so I can't mention only one valuable feature. Overall, Zscaler Private Access is a good solution.""The solution offers a simplified network infrastructure and security functions and it enables secure remote access for the users""SASE's most valuable features are proxy and content filtering.""The scalability of the solution is great.""The most valuable features of this solution are the CASB solutions, which is protecting their Office 365.""The best feature is the ability to establish the connection between your public network and automatically connect to the intranet connection.""The most valuable features are the File Type Control and SSL bypass policies. Cons
"Lookout was moving into the SSE space. And so their work on SecureWeb Gateway and SD-WAN is still sort of evolving.""The stability depends on the service from where you access it. Because sometimes, the place you are in, you have Gateway. You don't have Gateway. The gateway is overutilized. At the end, you need to go through their gateways. And this is the key point here. You have a tracking point. If it's not well orchestrated, and it scales up as you add more to the existing team, you will suffer""From the analysis that we've done, they do seem to be maybe a step behind in trying to enter the market with a new solution. But when they do pick up, they do come out with some good products.""We just submitted an enhancement request reflecting the main area we want to see improvement in; the APIs. Currently, we're able to build dashboards, but it's somewhat backward because we use our MDM API to create them. Lookout should provide API to customers so we can query our data and use it in our cloud, and this is the only outstanding area for improvement with the product right now."

More Lookout Cons →

"In mobile devices, there is also sometimes a bit of tear when it is via LTE, however, that must be due to connectivity.""The access to the portal should be faster. It shouldn't crash a lot.""As it is a new market solution, I still face some instabilities in access at certain times of the day when I have more than 150 users using it simultaneously.""My customers want more remote functionality. They need another routing option after they connect to the enterprise intranet. For example, let's say a user tries to connect to a remote branch office and headquarters through Harmony Connect. They need a local breakout after connecting to the headquarters, especially in China. They need to put local breakout in the Chinese internet. The current version cannot do something like this.""The solution requires you to buy a minimum of 50 licenses and that is not practical.""Harmony lacks this ability when anything more than a vanilla access policy is used (we use layers and source user objects in our policy which make this impossible according to Check Point).""More report and alert options would be useful.""There is an issue when installing the Check Point client."

More Check Point Quantum SASE Cons →

"We often face performance and latency issues with Zscaler SASE.""SCMP support would be one of the biggest improvements in my opinion. More speed improvements are also required.""While Zscaler supports client-initiated connections, it does not support server-initiated connections. This is a feature that Zscaler may consider adding in the future.""There could be more DLP-related features. Additionally, there needs to be flexibility for integrating ISP features.""Zscaler Private Access's reporting is poor. We should have more insight into the reports regarding what is blocked and allowed.""There are latency issues with the solution. They are small, however, they are there when you compare it to other vendors.""There is some issue while accessing the portal. It takes too long.""The pricing for Private Access seems to be on the expensive side, and I believe they should consider making it more competitive with other solutions."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is fair; it's comparable to our previous solution, and we carried out multiple POCs and POVs (proof of value). The product is worth the money we pay for it."
  • "Lookout is definitely on the lower end when it comes to price point and that seems to be the only differentiator. The technology is in place in this space and it's really about who is coming in at the better price point now."
  • "In terms of feature performance versus cost, they're a good value."
  • "The licensing costs are good. Prisma has much more options and support for security, but it has a higher cost. For example, Lookout costs 2/3rd of Prisma's licensing price."
  • More Lookout Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The pricing is good, especially when you compare it to other firewall or UTM solutions from FortiGate or SonicWall, where you would have to invest about four hundred thousand rupees for 100 users over a three-year period."
  • "Annual licenses cost $30 to $40 each."
  • "I would rate Harmony Connect's pricing at six out of ten. It wasn't particularly expensive, but it wasn't super cheap either."
  • "Regarding pricing, I can say that the more the number of users, the less they have to pay."
  • "The pricing of Check Point is relatively high when compared to other competitors like Palo Alto and Fortinet. While Palo Alto may be on the higher side in terms of cost, Check Point's pricing is similar to that of Fortinet. In some cases, Check Point offers better value for the features it provides. We initially considered other options but ultimately decided to purchase hardware that came with three years of iOS. This approach eliminated the need for any additional costs associated with Check Point. I would rate it 10 out of 10."
  • "The product is neither cheap nor expensive."
  • "The product's pricing model accommodates diverse needs and deployment sizes."
  • "I consider the product to be a medium-priced solution. There are no additional costs attached to the tool."
  • More Check Point Quantum SASE Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "It has been relatively reasonable for what it does. Some of the additional license costs based on the advanced next-generation firewall functions are quite high, and they should have certain features ready and available as a baseline rather than having to purchase additional licenses for it. Overall, the cost seems reasonable."
  • "Pricing for Zscaler Private Access is moderate. It's acceptable, though I can't give you the exact price currently. It's not too expensive, and on a scale of one to five, I would rate it a four out of five in terms of pricing."
  • "The pricing is expensive and on the higher end. Honestly, in my opinion, it is not worth the price."
  • "The cost is expensive. It depends on the number of users."
  • "My company is a Zscaler Private Access partner, so the customers pay for the license fees."
  • "The price is competitive."
  • "In terms of market positioning, I would describe Zscaler Private Access as offering optimal pricing. Based on our experience, Cato Networks tends to be slightly more expensive."
  • "Zscaler Private Access is extremely expensive."
