Find out in this report how the two Enterprise Infrastructure VPN solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."It's an ideal gateway solution for small and medium businesses, i.e., around 300 devices can be easily handled."
"The solution has good performance."
"It allows everyone to work from home. If no one could work from home, then we wouldn't have a company, especially now during COVID-19. It's mission-critical, especially since it's currently being used. If there is a problem with it, we would really be screwed. We would be hard-pressed because we would have to figure out what solution we're going to go with, how to deploy it, how long it would take to deploy it, and how we'd even get it on people's computers if we couldn't VPN to them. It would be near impossible to just change to a new VPN solution right now."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN enables us to access on-premise applications while working from remote locations."
"The solution has been solid for me for over five years."
"The team has full visibility of the users that connect allowing them to keep control of who is in the network and what data they are allowing to come in and out."
"The ability to create your trigger data domains is the solution's most valuable feature."
"The most valuable feature is the seamless access."
"We have more control over the activity that users have on the internal network, thanks to the monitoring offered by Check Point and the security provided by the gateway."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN provides strong security features, including encryption, authentication, endpoint security, access control, and centralized management."
"The product’s adaptability is valuable."
"It was very easy to set up users."
"The stability is very reliable in my experience."
"The most valuable feature of OpenVPN is that it is open source. I can do anything with the solution, such as change, build, and collect. Additionally, it is safe to use the solution and there are frequent updates."
"It can scale well."
"The product has strong encryption and scalability features. It provides security for private network connections."
"It allows our employees to work remotely across Mac, Windows, and Linux platforms."
"Security is the most valuable feature."
"There must be a more easy-to-use GUI."
"When you want to deploy a new Check Point agent, it is really a pain in the butt. For example, Windows 10 now has updates almost every couple of months. It changes the versioning and things under the hood. These are things that I don't understand, because I'm not a Windows person. However, I know that the Check Point client is installed on the Windows machine, and if the Check Point client's not kept up-to-date, then it's functionality breaks. It has to be up-to-date with the Windows versions. Check Point has to update the client more often. Now, the problem is that the Check Point client is not easy to update on remote computers and it's not easy to deploy a new client."
"The maximum it is giving us is only 5 licenses and if you need more, they must be purchased separately."
"We would like to see support for a layer seven VPN over UDP."
"It would be good to have Remote Access VPN solutions for Check Point edge services."
"We have noted some stability issues."
"The fully-featured security module is only supported on Windows and Mac systems, which means that organizations with Linux will face issues providing secure access."
"I cannot see the full effect of the endpoint solution because it relies on having access to the DNF queries, which might not go through the Check Point firewall when you're using it for perimeter networks. Check Point will not identify the actual source of the net queries. This may be related to the architecture, however, and not poor product issues. I don't know if it can be improved on the Check Point side or not."
"The connection has gotten less smooth as the number of users increases. The issue is that the logs fill up quickly. Too many users are connecting remotely. It worked great when we only had a few remote connections. Now, it is disconnecting people and dropping the internet connection."
"The product’s connectivity is very slow. It could be faster."
"They should make the solution more secure by adding some firewall functionalities."
"The connections could be faster and more stable."
"The stability of the OpenVPN Access Server has room for improvement."
"There are certain shortcomings in the product's stability that need improvement."
"The security needs to be improved because it was a complaint that our customers had."
"I'd like the solution to have more access points and more speed."
"The logs should be made easier to read."
