"Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers powered by Intel are easy to use, are easy to manage with OpenManage, and have extended support for five years."
"The fact that they came pre-installed was quite good. We didn't have to worry too much about that process... Also, the maintenance part makes it very easy to raise queries and get repairs done."
"The solution's lifecycle management with iDRAC works really well, and it is a valuable feature because it helps with maintenance and keeping track of what we have in our company."
"Primarily, what we value most is the stability of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers."
"The iDRAC is an excellent service; it allows us to install and deploy our software remotely."
"We are able to do remote monitoring and installation of hardware and software, and that tends to be very popular with customers."
"The solution is very strong and reliable."
"I like a feature they call iDRAC. It's a feature that allows you remotely power on and off the server."
"Support is the most valuable feature of the solution."
"HPE offers the products we need. They come back with solutions. It's uncomplicated to deal with HPE."
"It's very easy to set up."
"There is a lot of extra storage. I am only using half of what I need."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO)...Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"HPE ProLiant DL Servers are a great product. We don't have many complaints."
"HPE's iLO server management software is a handy tool to install and deploy."
"One of the most valuable features is iLO, which is very good. Another thing is the HPE support is very good."
"There is potential for enhancement in terms of its overall upgradeability."
"The maintenance for this solution could be improved."
"The price is very high."
"One area where PowerEdge could improve is the challenge of keeping technology consistent over the years."
"The T150 is a little bit bulky for what it is. I think if they created a T150 version with small form-factor drives, that would be an ideal solution. Currently, it is a tower box and it has quite a big footprint..."
"It would be nice if they could make the solution cheaper and faster."
"From the licensing model perspective, it might be useful for enterprises to get an overall enterprise license, rather than licensing each server. That is one option because we tend to buy the service with the licenses, but some of our older equipment does not have them."
"Dell needs to focus more on SMBs, helping us get the most out of our products. For example, at events, there should be very specific SMB sessions where there are Dell technicians, engineers, and Dell executives meeting with us and finding out what we need. Dell is big on promoting the fact that they're part of our team and that they want to be our partners, and I would like to see them actually partner with us. Do it less with the big Fortune 500 companies and do a little bit more with us SMBs."
"The hardware was frequently faulty and sometimes broke down."
"The support lifecycle for the product for the Telco application should be better."
"It would be great if HP could use a ProLiant Server to run HP-UX, the Unix build from HPE. Right now, HP-UX cannot run on the ProLiant architecture."
"The installation could be simplified."
"HPE ProLiant DL Servers are customizable, but when you first deploy them, you basically have to rebuild configurations on them. This is true for large orders. But for small orders, you will be tied up with previous configurations of some other brand like Dell."
"My customers are tilted toward GPU users, and the mixed version of the enabled hard drives require — flash drives, SSD, NNL, and PLAS — all mixed and matched in a single box. These are requirements I've already shared with the HPE account manager."
"When it comes to security there can always be room for improvement. If there was an option to build security into the system it would be an advantage."
"The initial configuration process could be simpler."
