Provides efficient business insights and valuable data management architecture
Working with a healthcare client with diverse locations, we faced the challenge of analyzing data in isolation, making it difficult to generalize findings across different areas. With the help of Informatica Data Integration Hub, we can collect data from various locations and enhance business insights. We are familiar with centralized publishing and subscription models. It ensures the enforcement of data governance policies across all data sources and consumers, promoting data consistency and quality. The automated artificial data synchronization facilitated by the data integration hub has proven invaluable in supporting our daily operations. It ensures the continuous updating of data, preventing delays and inaccuracies that may arise from using outdated information in analyses. This capability became particularly crucial during the sudden changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing us to adapt swiftly to the evolving business landscape. However, they could provide us with real-time data to increase the efficiency of manufacturing processes. I advise others to understand the different data resources available in the organization before making the purchase decision. I rate it an eight out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The MDM solution is capable of integrating multiple systems, so it helped us to solve the purpose of centralizing the depository as well as the standardization of mass data. It takes away all the ambiguity around data integrity issues or all the process challenges which happen when every stage of a process uses a different source as master data."
"Performance and flexibility-wise, they're very user-friendly."
"The technical support services are good."
"It's easy to build an integration and make changes to it."
"OIC offers a number of pre-built technology and SaaS adapters for high productivity for a wide range of target systems, both in-house via agents and cloud/SaaS, via a very flexible range of interfaces."
"Provides various ways to secure services as well as providing extensive support."
"The most valuable feature of Oracle Integration Cloud Service is its ease of use. We do not depend on any tool to develop it. Everything is on the browser and is easy to integrate, even for someone who does not understand a lot about coding."
"The most valuable feature of Oracle Integration Cloud Service is its performance."
"It is a scalable solution."
"The most valuable features of Oracle Integration Cloud Service are the seeded integrations with many communication platforms, such as Slack and emails. It works best for the historical communication methods. Those are still prevalent with all the other clients. When we are doing the integrations, it makes it a little bit easier for us to communicate the same output over Slack, rather than sending out an email and downloading the report. The number of seeded functionalities within the Oracle Integration Cloud Service platform is better."
"The dashboard provided by Oracle Integration Cloud for monitoring and error handling is very intuitive."

Cons

"The initial setup was not very straightforward. Not complex, but not very simple either."
"When it comes to UI look and feel and user experience, Informatica is not as good as other solutions."
"They could provide more robust performance for data integration processes. It would help in improving the data quality more efficiently."
"The solution doesn't currently have a fully fledged workflow feature like they have in OIM."
"The error retrying mechanism could be improved. If an error occurs, it can be retried automatically, it would be helpful."
"Make it more similar to the on-premises features. For example, if you can edit the code directly rather than just dragging and dropping, or if you can edit the examples by going into the background, and one-click migration, I'd like to see included in the next release."
"Dealing with the large file size has occasionally been a challenge."
"Sometimes, the tech support is slow to get back to us. We have had to wait up to two weeks for a response."
"They should provide tutorials for beginners to learn about the processes."
"The solution is expensive."
"The support and resources were lacking — they weren't there."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Comparatively, their prices are a little bit too high."
"The price is cheaper than all other cloud integration providers."
"The solution is less expensive than other products."
"The price is fair."
"Its pricing is relatively lower than other vendors."
"The price of Oracle Integration Cloud Service is good. It is reasonable and is priced well for the market segment. The model they use is on a per-package unit and we have a two-year subscription."
"It specifies how much data you use and how much storage you require, among other things."
"I would rate the pricing a four out of ten, with one being very cheap and ten being very expensive."
"The price of Oracle Integration Cloud Service is reasonable to start with, but when you scale it becomes expensive."
