Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Alarms are the most valuable feature. We also like the dashboard and how things are at your fingertips. The fact that we can now edit the report templates is going to be a great thing.""I find LogRhythm's log management capabilities to be beneficial.""SOAR is integrated with the dashboard that we use for threat management. Because it's all integrated, it is useful for us when we deploy something on-prem.""Their customer support is friendly and willing to help.""Technical support is very helpful and responsive.""We use this solution to examine disparate log sources and provide a cohesive method to search for anomalous behavior.""This solution has improved our organization in many different ways. The biggest benefit is being able to view all information in one dashboard instead of having to look at several different applications and dashboards. I can see information across our entire environment and every aspect of our network.""The most valuable features of the solution are network monitoring, user behavior analytics, and log collection."

"You can use different solutions in a single platform which is very easy and attractive for customers.""The algorithm used in Seceon OTM is clear and logical, categorizing events as needed. This helps us identify and respond to threats effectively.""The most valuable features are behaviour analytics, threat intelligence, endpoint detection, and response features.""The main thing is the value proposition. It is one of the most sophisticated yet affordable solutions that I've come across. It is also one of the easiest-to-manage yet comprehensive solutions for a SOC analyst. Its customizations are really good, and it has a lot of integrations. It is multi-tenant and very fast to onboard. Its stability is 100%. We've never had an outage with it. It doesn't require extensive hardware resources. Its level of support is also very good. They have a very responsive technical team.""The solution is stable.""I like that it's an AI-based platform. The most valuable feature is that it's a comprehensive solution. Most tools in the marketplace are comprised of miscellaneous items. They fail to provide real-time remediation features. However, with Seceon Open Threat Management Platform, anything you can think of in cybersecurity, like auto-remediation, real-time response, and even on-premise components, is available in a single platform. So, it's perfect for finance and healthcare who don't want to share their data with a third party like the cloud. You can have this on-premise as well. So, the expenditure will be lower as less human intervention is required.""We only recently started using Seceon, so we aren't taking advantage of all its features yet. We have enabled some proactive alerts about utilization and bottlenecks from high traffic.""The most valuable feature of this solution is its artificial intelligence."

Cons
"I would really like to see some type of group or global management for RIM policies,""The initial setup is not so easy because it is quite a process.""When we had version 7.2.6, there were a lot of issues deploying that version and with the indexing. The indexer was unstable. So, we were not able to use the platform when we were on that version until we were able to upgrade to 7.3.4.""We need to get better training for things like creating code and playlists. The way it's done now takes a long time.""I would like it to do a lot of the automation (which I still need to learn more about), because I am essentially a one man shop doing all the jobs. I'd like for it to be able to do more for me.""It will definitely help if the parsing side would be much easier, meaning it would be better if we could easily make adjustments on the parser, both on standard and non-standard log sources.""Granted, we haven't enabled the UEBA module, but we're forwarding all our proxy logs to LogRhythm and we have a really hard time pulling those proxy logs back out of LogRhythm. However, when we take LogRhythm and forward the same logs into somebody else's user-based analytics software, we get the majority of what we were missing... If we've got all our proxy logs and I go out to Google or Facebook or the like, we should be able to go in and pull that information out ten minutes later, but it's a big challenge to do that.""One of the challenges of the SIEM for the LogRhythm 7 platform is the amount of time it takes to bring new log sources into the MDI."

More LogRhythm SIEM Cons →

"The SOP they provided wasn't great. They offered training over Sherp Virtualization, and the Seceon leadership visited our location to explain everything in detail, but the documentation and training could be better. It isn't as effective as it could be. There's some room for improvement there.""The product should improve the triggering rate.""It would be better if they offered global coverage.""We are at the client’s end, offering services. They don’t know about security rules and benchmarks. We are working on the discovery and remediation but we don’t really have the intelligence that was available while working with other tools. Human working is also very essential for the solution. The automatic session is impossible to play since it needs to touch Redfin for further analysis. No one has breached our clients.""For future releases, integrating incident response tools and improving communication on incident reporting could be beneficial.""The management console could use some enhancements.""It would be ideal with the processing was more manageable. Not many customers are willing to have a dedicated server with two CPUs and one TB of memory. The cost of this is huge for a smaller organization.""The dashboard has always been an issue."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Look closely at the cost of licensing of other products. This should include setups and the need for support services. I did a RFQ to 2 other vendors before choosing this product."
  • "If you don't have your staff, absolutely look into the co-pilot and factor that into your cost evaluation."
  • "I would recommend that whatever sales quotes to them upfront, they will probably go up. Because they are probably going to outgrow that very quickly or once they start getting everything into it, they are going to have to move up anyway."
  • "Look for whatever will give you the most value. That's the main point. It is not one size fits all."
  • "I would recommend talking to the rep. That's the biggest thing because they will know what questions to ask."
  • "In comparison to the competition, they are more affordable. This allows us to do more with less."
  • "The solution has provided us with consistency and increased staff productivity through orchestrated automated work flows by at least 20 percent."
  • "I have seen a measurable decrease in the mean time to detect and respond to threats. We went from not detecting them to detecting them. We can actually pick up what is anomalous in our network now."
  • More LogRhythm SIEM Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "It has a per-asset model instead of an ingestion-based model, which gives predictable pricing. In terms of price, it is in the middle to lower range of SIEMs that it competes against. It is the most affordable solution that we have implemented so far. It was much more affordable than anything else I've implemented."
  • "Seceon Open Threat Management Platform is cost-effective because it's a comprehensive platform that offers high availability."
  • "The solution is cheap and very competitive. It offers good tuning in terms of the pricing. Other solutions like Palo Alto and IBM are more expensive."
  • "The pricing is very competitive. It's not expensive."
  • "We used the solution's trial version for two months and later purchased it."
  • "The price is quite reasonable."
  • "I find Seceon OTM's pricing to be reasonable, not too high or low, just okay for the market standards. I can't disclose specific figures, we pay on a quarterly basis under a service model. I would rate it eight out of ten. As a customer, I always hope for better pricing options."

    Overview

LogRhythm SIEM Platform is an award-winning platform in security analytics. With more than 4,000 customers globally, LogRhythm SIEM is an integrated platform that helps security operations teams protect critical infrastructure and information from emerging cyberthreats. Ultimately, LogRhythm SIEM is an integrated set of modules that contribute to the security team’s fundamental mission: rapid threat monitoring, threat detection, threat investigation, and threat neutralization. LogRhythm SIEM is for organizations that require an on-premises solution and offers:

    ● Streamlined workflow

    ● Secure data access

    ● Real-time visibility

    ● A unified user experience

    ● Management customization

Security information and event management (SIEM) solutions have been evolving for over a decade; their core functionality still acts as the most effective foundation for any organization’s technology stack. A SIEM solution enables an organization to centrally collect data across its entire network environment to gain real-time visibility into activity that may pose a risk to the organization. SIEM technology addresses threats before they become significant financial risks while simultaneously helping better manage an organization’s assets.

LogRhythm SIEM has many key features and capabilities, including:

High-Performance Log Management: LogRhythm SIEM offers structured and unstructured search capabilities which allows users to swiftly search across an organization’s vast data to easily find answers, identify IT and security issues, and troubleshoot issues. Users can efficiently process and index terabytes of log data daily.

Network and Endpoint Monitoring: Forensic sensors allow users to gain deep visibility into endpoint and network activity. Users can see behavioral anomalies and better respond to incidents.

SmartResponse™ Automation: LogRhythm SIEM allows users to centrally execute pre-staged actions that automate incident investigatory tasks and responses.

Automated Machine Analytics: LogRhythm SIEM's AI Engine continuously analyzes all collected security incidents and forensic data. Security teams are delivered precise, real-time intelligence about risk-prioritized threats.

Case and Security Incident Management: LogRhythm SIEM offers an integrated workflow so that threats don’t slip through the cracks. Collaboration tools help centrally manage and track investigations.

User and entity behavior analytics (UEBA): Embedded deterministic UEBA monitoring helps protect against insider threats.

Security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR): LogRhythm SIEM includes our embedded SOAR solution to increase efficiency and higher-quality incident response with low mean time to response (MTTR).

    Benefits to Using LogRhythm SIEM

The platform offers great value to security and IT operations. Users have the ability to map their security and IT operations to existing frameworks such as NIST and MITRE ATT&CK.

    ● The platform offers broad integration across security and IT vendors: Users benefit from support for integration with hundreds of security and IT solutions. In turn, this further extends SIEM capabilities and data collection.

    ● The platform provides compliance adherence, enforcement, and reporting: The prebuilt compliance modules automatically detect violations as they occur and remove the burden of manually reviewing audit logs.
