We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"One of the most valuable features of this solution is its ability to integrate well with other services offered by Azure.""The stability is pretty good.""Technical support is okay in terms of the help they provide.""The initial setup was really easy and straightforward.""Its scalability and ease of use are valuable. It is fairly simple for a tool that's that powerful. If you have a background in Microsoft SQL Server, it is a very easy-to-transition path.""It is a fantastic product; we are satisfied with its features and performance.""Fills the gap between big data and classic data warehouses.""We've had a good experience with technical support in general."

"The solution is simple to use and easy to maintain.""The solution is stable. The product is scalable. The technical support is very helpful. The initial setup is straightforward. I consider the product a strong solution for our customers.""The database is solid.""The most valuable feature of Oracle Database Appliance is the ease of management.""Oracle Database Appliance provides high stability.""Oracle is a stable database.""The product is excellent. It is simple and reliable in terms of installation and maintenance.""NVM Express (NVMe) solid-state drives: This technology brings outstanding I/O performance for midsize databases. We have tested it by doing POCs on customer sites and the results were quite satisfying."

Cons
"They should provide a less expensive version with a smaller setup for small businesses. Currently, its price is quite high for entry-level or small businesses. In terms of integration, new connectors are always welcomed.""The security performance and cost are the two things that needs improvement.""Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics could improve in usability. I have found the same issue with all Microsoft solutions.""The only concern for us is the cost part. When it comes to the implementation and the support and maintenance, we see high-cost implications.""I am a researcher. For people to be able to research a solution, there should be at least a free trial. Just advertising a product or saying that this product is better doesn't work. I would strongly recommend providing a lot of free trials and trainings. This will also help Microsoft in having more users or customers. Oracle provides some free trials. You can just go for a free trial and use your database online, which is very good.""I would like to see version control implemented into the data warehouse.""Synapse Analytics is generally stable, but its performance can be slow when performing very large datasets.""An area for improvement in Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics is its user interface. You can use it for analytical purposes, but its platform should be a little bit more user-friendly. Another small point for improvement in Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics is its stability. It's good currently, but it could still be improved. Microsoft is combining different tools and technologies into one solution, so in the future, I'm expecting to see even more improvement in Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics. An additional feature I'd like to see in the next version of Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics is the drag-and-drop feature. If you're doing some integrations where you can write Scala or you have SPARK programming or SQL, or you're combining different programming, the process should be seamless, and you should be able to drag and drop in Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics. When doing reporting in the solution, you should also be able to drag and drop. There should be connectors available and a drag-and-drop feature available in the user interface of Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics, so you won't have to worry about how all processes would work together. You need to be able to drag and drop even from the backend, and having this feature will make the solution more user-friendly."

More Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics Cons →

"The product's technical support services need improvement.""Virtualization needs improvement. It's not easy to back up the virtual machines in the Oracle VM architecture. I would also like to see native support for Veeam Backup Software.""Sometimes, we cannot upgrade or patch it easily. The performance needs to improve.""They could incorporate a more secure and internet-centric management system for the platform.""It would be beneficial to have dedicated RAM included in the Oracle Database Appliance.""Virtualization features could also be improved. A web-based GUI would be a good start.""Since we don't have the room to scale up, I rate this solution a six out of ten for scalability.""The product's pricing is too high. We plan to migrate to another database in three to four years."
