Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Forensics is a valuable feature of Fortinet FortiEDR.""The price is low and quite competitive with others.""Additionally, when it comes to EDR, there are more tools available to assist with client work.""Fortinet has helped free up around 20 percent of our staff's time to help us out.""The setup is pretty simple.""The solution was relatively easy to deploy.""NGAV and EDR features are outstanding.""Fortinet FortiEDR made our clients feel secure and more at ease, knowing that they had an EDR solution that would close the gap in their security posture."

"The most valuable features are the anti-malware and antivirus capabilities.""It helps us quickly address potential issues and provides us with valuable insights.""Able to quarantine any malware.""ServerProtect's best feature is virtual patching, which takes care of patching even if your servers aren't updated with the latest threat definitions.""The initial setup is very straightforward.""Performance is very good.""Virtual Batching and the intelligent anti-malware components are valuable security tools.""I use this solution for data blocking, software protection, and frame protection."

More Trend Micro ServerProtect Pros →

"It is their most comprehensive endpoint protection solution. It includes DLP and Office 365. It also includes device control and the rest of the little bells and whistles that the traditional AV vendors have.""The most valuable features of the solution are ransomware protection, device control, and DLP.""Product-wise, it is amazing. It includes DLP, vulnerability management, and application whitelisting features. These features are very good and add value in selling this solution to our customers. These features make the key selling point. I recently did a comparison with the FireEye firewall for a customer. They were basically going to replace Trend Micro with their EDR. Because of these features, I could convince the customer that Trend Micro is better than FireEye.""The most valuable aspect of the solution is that it also protects our smartphones. It's one of the reasons we use Trend Micro specifically.""The solution has multiple modules within a single agent deployment.""The sandboxing is more proactive and more reliable than any of the other endpoint protection solutions.""We do get notifications, which are helpful.""The most valuable features are the behavior monitoring, behavior analysis, and web reputation service."

Cons
"The solution is not user-friendly.""Making the portal mobile friendly would be helpful when I am out of office.""I haven't seen the use of AI in the solution.""The EDR console should have more extensive reporting. You shouldn't need to purchase FortiAnalyzer. It should be included in the EDR part. The security adviser cloud platform could be improved with more options for exclusive or intensive rules for devices.""We find the solution to be a bit expensive.""It takes about two business days for initial support, which is too slow in urgent situations.""The support needs improvement.""The SIEM could be improved."

More Fortinet FortiEDR Cons →

"The cost is very high and it should be lower to be more competitive.""One thing I have been facing is that some fake threats have appeared that even Trend Micro was not able to clear up. It couldn't tell you why these threats are happening, where they are coming from and what the costs are.""Integration with different platforms could be an area for improvement in Trend Micro ServerProtect, e.g. it needs more integration. It could also be more secure and more stable. In the next release, this solution should also include more EDR visibility.""Notifications are not very good with Trend Micro.""There are a few areas of improvement. Despite its high performance, there are certain aspects related to the operating system that could be improved. Specifically, I find that the protection for certain actions requires more effort compared to other actions.""The endpoint protection could always be stronger.""Trend Micro is a little bit complicated when it comes to setting up special policies.""I would like to see SMS notifications sent as alerts, in case we do not have access to our email."

More Trend Micro ServerProtect Cons →

"No online encryption or cloud services are available for the tool, so my company has to install it mostly in an on-premises environment. Encryption or cloud services need to be made available in the product.""I cannot recall noticing any missing features.""There are certain concerns with the product's stability, so it is an area where improvements are required.""The administration could be better. They could decrease the administrative burden and enable easier management. There are many features, options, and settings which is quite challenging for some of our customers. The complexity of the interface is also an issue. From a software point of view, I would prefer to see actual signatures and actual protection patterns, rather than new features.""We were considering switching to SentinalOne because it has pre-detection, and Trend Micro does not offer this; it's something the solution should add.""The threat response could be a bit better.""I want the tool to provide the solutions integrated within it to have regular updates. Currently, the solutions integrated with Smart Protection get updates from the cloud. I want to minimize the download from the cloud.""The solution's device control options are not too beneficial."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.
