Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"What I found most valuable in Amazon EKS is its maturity as a cloud computing technology.""Overall Amazon EKS is a good solution in the industry. The solution can support multi tendencies, and network isolations are the key factors.""Amazon EKS is a useful solution for modern, cloud-native applications. It offers both horizontal and vertical scaling, which is a big advantage. The tool can also help manage costs while maintaining high availability.""AWS cloud services are flexible and have thorough documentation. AWS also has data centers all over the world.""The stability is excellent.""We haven't faced any major issues in one and a half years of use.""The solution is easy to use.""Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."

"The deployment is quite fast, which is beneficial.""The solution's customer service is good.""The most valuable feature of Docker is its portability, ease of security management, and low resource usage.""The most valuable feature of Docker is its integration with other solutions, such as KVM and AlmaLinux.""Containerization is the most valuable feature. I can communicate to the Docker containers using other containers.""In our line of work, we've been involved in various sectors, such as industrial products, transportation, client engineering, telecom, and medical. For instance, we're currently developing an IT platform. One key use case we're tackling is device management.""When used in conjunction with Kubernetes, it is seamless because it integrates very well.""The solution's most valuable feature is the Dockerfile, which makes the life of developers easy. Developers get a real understanding of container creation."

Cons
"Amazon EKS is predominately public. However, the government has started to have a lot of interest in Kubernetes and is receiving more education on Kubernetes and Amazon EKS. If we can have the security of Amazon EKS align with the security that is set out by the government it would be much better.""I'd like improved traffic handling and additional application details within the system.""I would like to see a cloud setup bank management feature.""Amazon EKS needs to improve customer operations and technical support.""I'd like to see the solution add a service catalog.""They should enhance the Jira integration.""Amazon EKS's vulnerability management of data could be improved.""The solution should include a popup for clusters so that all relevant information is visible at the bottom of a page."

More Amazon EKS Cons →

"We have found that it is not easy to install it into a Windows system.""The solution’s documentation could improve a bit.""There are elements of stability that are problematic. One of the most recent upgrades created a major incident on our cloud, whereby the containers were not restarting automatically.""Docker management is very difficult when we have a large number of nodes.""I would like to see a more UI-based tool so that students can easily understand it rather than memorizing all of the Docker commands.""It could be easier to create images and save them on reports. Just improved development workflow, just quicker, like some better user experience creating the images for the Docker containers.""Sometimes, we have sync-up issues where the build doesn't get processed due to these sync issues, causing the build to fail. That's one of the drawbacks I see. When we did a huge sync-up, we faced a couple of issues. It takes some time for us to complete the sync-up. For frequent, smaller updates, we haven't had any issues. However, challenges can arise for those who prefer doing everything in one go. This might not necessarily be due to the tool itself but because of the approach of doing everything in a single batch.""The solution could improve with a GUI instead of only a command line interface. Having to use the command line interface can be a hassle."

    Overview

Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) is a fully managed Kubernetes service. Customers such as Intel, Snap, Intuit, GoDaddy, and Autodesk trust EKS to run their most sensitive and mission critical applications because of its security, reliability, and scalability.

EKS is the best place to run Kubernetes for several reasons. First, you can choose to run your EKS clusters using AWS Fargate, which is serverless compute for containers. Fargate removes the need to provision and manage servers, lets you specify and pay for resources per application, and improves security through application isolation by design. Second, EKS is deeply integrated with services such as Amazon CloudWatch, Auto Scaling Groups, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), providing you a seamless experience to monitor, scale, and load-balance your applications. Third, EKS integrates with AWS App Mesh and provides a Kubernetes native experience to consume service mesh features and bring rich observability, traffic controls and security features to applications. Additionally, EKS provides a scalable and highly-available control plane that runs across multiple availability zones to eliminate a single point of failure.
EKS runs upstream Kubernetes and is certified Kubernetes conformant so you can leverage all benefits of open source tooling from the community. You can also easily migrate any standard Kubernetes application to EKS without needing to refactor your code.

Docker takes away repetitive, mundane configuration tasks and is used throughout the development lifecycle for fast, easy and portable application development – desktop and cloud. Docker’s comprehensive end to end platform includes UIs, CLIs, APIs and security that are engineered to work together across the entire application delivery lifecycle.
