"This solution has made my clients' workplaces a lot less labor-intensive."
"It has helped to simplify cross-dependency between MVS and Open systems jobs."
"It allows you to automate tasks, and reduce headcount, prevent errors, self-heal."
"The solution has been stable."
"It works constantly and is pretty seamless. You do not have to open up many support tickets."
"Easy configuration and integration with SAP."
"It has improved my organization by automating IT applications."
"AutoSys Workload Automation is scalable."
"Control-M is useful to automate all critical and non-critical processes. Using Control-M, we can automate application workflows as well as file transfers involved in application workflows. We can also use it to run batches related to applications. Automating these processes reduces the RTO and RPO, which helps in the case of failures. It also helps us to identify bottlenecks and take corrective measures."
"We have a better picture of our auditability. When someone comes to us, and asks for sources, "How did the deltas occur?" We can provide answers quickly, or at least quicker than what we used to. We are actually sure of the information that we provide, where before it was like, "Hmm, I think it comes from over there. Let me double check, but it gets really convoluted over here and I think that is where it comes from." Now, if it is within the Control-M environment, it has a straightforward answer that we can provide with confidence."
"In our bank, all new applications need to be implemented with Control-M. We try to look for the best way to establish communication between both products. One of the new features for us is Application Integrator. It is a very interesting feature because it lets us integrate with those applications that are not included in Control-M. By using Application Integrator, we can easily integrate new technologies. With the help of Application Integrator, we recently integrated with Blue Prism, which is a robotic product. We could integrate such processes into Control-M. Now, we are working with Ansible, and we are putting Ansible automated processes into Control-M."
"Promotions between environments, as well as local, mass update, versioning, and self-service."
"We are using Control-M for day-to-day operations only. It is helpful for us in our day-to-day operations. It is a key in our financial sector. We are automating via Control-M in our treasury operations, including any evening updates. Control-M makes things easier and faster by helping our treasury operations go without any interruptions."
"It is very easy to use. The HA feature is also very good."
"We are now able to deliver data to our data warehouses and dashboards promptly."
"Because it's a tool which allows us to do scheduled work, it allows for notifications when jobs aren't running within that scheduled time frame. This improves the opportunity to meet SLAs."
"Pricing model for distributed should have an Enterprise option."
"Reduce the number of operational files. This would make the job of a system programmer supporting ESP easier."
"I would like to see two-factor authentication, since you see a lot of companies in the news for security breaches. That is a really big thing for us."
"It lacks support and integration with cloud computing platforms."
"The cross-platform arena, where you can run work on multiple platforms, needs improvement."
"Some support issues need to be addressed, but not through email, through personal contact via phone or WebEx."
"To make it a lot more user-friendly, in order to make it so other people can use it without having to do much training with it; the more user-friendly it is, the easier it is to work with."
"The visibility and control features are somewhat limited."
"The initial setup was complex, because I wasn't used to it."
"We did encounter a few scalability issues. Sometimes, there are too many jobs in our environment on different servers, but that’s not the tool issue, we can simply increase the FS size. However, that requires bank cost; hence the scalability issue."
"Some reports on the UI require some improvement since the UI is not so impressive."
"It can definitely expand promotions, so that a single job can be moved. Currently you can only promote a job by promoting the entire table."
"The MFT applications should have more functionality and flexibility within that tool. Having more flexibility with that tool for handling the one to many or many to one concept. Like being able to take data from one source and push it to many locations or pull data from many locations and bring it back into a single source. That's why we still use our TPS program for the file transfers just because we don't have some of those capabilities available to us within MFT."
"Control-M doesn't have any dynamic reporting facilities or features."
"Finding documentation on the website can be a bit confusing."
"The next major release needs to focus on the lightweight web client."
