We performed a comparison between Microsoft Azure and Pantheon based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two PaaS Clouds solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."To me, the most valuable Azure features are AKS, Cloud SQL, security, and account management."
"There are a lot of valuable features in Microsoft Azure, such as Kubernetes, pipelines, and development environments."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Azure is it has everything together in one place. It is one large tool with lots of small tools that are updated often."
"With the Azure solution, you can get more value from your cloud investment no matter what your future goals are. It depends on your level of familiarity with the cloud you are using or with your computing. Azure helps you with every stage of the cloud."
"One advantage of using Azure is that clients can start with a low-cost entry in terms of hardware and scale as their business and user base grows. They don't need to allocate a large budget for infrastructure upfront."
"I like the ExpressRoute because that makes it easy to configure connectivity to Azure-hosted services."
"We've got multiple tools on Azure, which is a very good feature of Azure. Our Palo Alto firewall and other things are hosted in Azure. We're using Sentinel as well, which is a security tool that is being used by our SOC teams. I've also used AWS, and I find Azure to be more Windows-driven. Although Azure is newer as compared to AWS, it is growing fast. Microsoft is working towards the betterment of Azure."
"We like that you sign in only once and that grants access to all of the Microsft applications, as well as others such as ServiceNow and SAP Concur."
"The product allows users to create multiple development environments."
"Pantheon has the most valuable workflow model."
"For deploying multiple resources in a big number, such as in hundreds, we need a streamlined process and more user-friendly scrips. The scripts have to be more user-friendly, and they should also supply some standard templates to deploy multiple resources at a time. Currently, it is very easy to deploy a couple of resources, but if you want to deploy multiple resources, it becomes complex. The material that they provide for integration with an existing on-prem data center is complex. They have to make them user-friendly. The scripts related to resource management need to be simplified."
"Their backup strategy is a little complex which racks up the VM to other sole storage areas. This should be improved."
"Microsoft Azure is not always a user-friendly solution. There are too many people who develop this solution. For the end-users, sometimes it's not really fun to use or simple to use. It could be improved."
"There should be more language options for the Azure Functions apps. It supports programming languages, but there are only a few options. It could have more programming languages."
"We need more security to be available on our smartphones and mobile devices."
"The solution needs a more integrated password feature."
"I would say an improvement could be allowing for more external, third-party tools. However, I think that's their vision, how they develop the product."
"A problem with Azure is that the architecture that they have is not really compliant — not really connecting with the endpoint Cloud."
"The Multidev environment is very costly compared to other tools like AWS and GCP."
"Pantheon has the most valuable workflow model."
