Very flexible and can be configured in multiple ways; high user satisfaction from our employees
The flexibility of the payroll aspect is a key feature and we haven't had a single issue related to that. In general, the solution is very flexible and can be configured in multiple ways. We have a lot of expatriates working here in Saudi Arabia, so the payroll is quite complex with the variety of requirements for different types of employees. It's all configurable in the system without any issues and not a single point was left out which used to happen when we were using SAP. Not all of our employees have access to computers so it's helpful that the system works well on a mobile application as a chat mode or using the mailing function. When a request comes in you can directly respond, which is very much appreciated by the senior management team because they don't have to log in to a solution to approve something.

A solution that provides its users with advanced reporting functionalities
My primary use case for SAP SuccessFactors is to run the promotion and review processes Previously, in our organization, we used to share Excel files via email, but now we have shifted to an online process with a workflow where data updates in real-time. The features of the solution that I found…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Ramco is user-friendly. The UA is excellent and so easy to use that a customer can easily understand the process with zero knowledge of the system. We can easily walk a new user through the user guide. For each ESS MSS, I can log in to the ESS access. and documentation is available."
"Once we implemented this solution, it was customizable for our needs and this has been the most valuable aspect of this solution."
"Payroll processing is very easy. SQL rules can be attached to any pay elements."
"The performance management system is really good."
"It is a good product, and it is suitable for different client requirements. It has customization options and flexibility. You can customize a report or configure the workflow based on your requirements. Everything is there in the product, and you can customize it as per your requirement. Our clients found the automation of the payroll, leave attendance, and onboarding modules the most valuable. The Time and Attendance module is fully integrated with this solution and supports multiple data entry modes, such as barcode, biometric device, fingerprints, and face reading. Its core HR module includes features like movement, expense management, exit, and separation. The compensation and benefits module includes features like welfare, retirement, and superannuation. It also has analytical tools. You can create a real-time report based on your requirements. You can also publish that report in different formats, such as Excel, PDF, HTML, etc. It has a chatbot feature, which is using machine learning and natural language. You can ask questions about your leave balance, attendance, or things like that, and you will get an immediate reply from the chatbot. It also supports approval through email."
"Ramco HCM is a stable system that doesn't have downtime or fluctuation issues. It can also take large volumes and scale up very fast."
"In general, the solution is very flexible and can be configured in multiple ways."
"Ramco HCM stands out due to its reliability and up-to-date compliance with legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements."
"SAP SuccessFactors is stable, we have not found any bugs or glitches."
"I think it's perfect that every requirement has flexibility in how it is handled, and that there are several workarounds for any problem we are looking to solve. Each problem has multiple solutions, so it gives us a lot of flexibility in terms of processes."
"What I like the most is the KPI management formula."
"Flexible with a lot of good features."
"This solution can be used for reporting related to employee information and contacts"
"Talent Acquisition and Learning features are best in class."
"It is a scalable solution."
"There are a lot of features in SuccessFactors that HR can actually explore. We recently implemented a learning platform that employs the individual staff to actually manage their own learning."

Cons

"The product itself sometimes feels inconsistent because it comes with bugs."
"The entire UI/UX of the solution can be improved drastically."
"The talent management and performance appraisal modules could use some improvement."
"One area for improvement in Ramco HCM is its UI, which could be more intuitive. Another area for improvement in the system is that it can be challenging to make some modular-based changes to it."
"The mobile app and web page user experience could be more user friendly."
"They can improve the configuration time because it takes more time than other products to configure the system. It could be because they are managing this single product for all countries, but it would be good if they improve the implementation time because we need to implement the solutions within a timeline. They should provide some kind of auto-configuration so that the system can be configured and implemented within a certain timeline. Implementors should have a provision to configure the system in a short time. There should also be an option to move the setup or configuration from staging to production to save time. These types of automation should be there."
"The mobile app for this solution could be improved as it lacks many features."
"Ramco could be a bit faster and offer more use cases. A prime aim is to get analytics and this is lacking in Ramco. This lack of reporting is one of the reasons we are moving away from using Ramco."
"SuccessFactors should consider building their best practices around critical industries to help companies become more differentiated in the markets they operate in."
"The reporting tool is not as good as IBM Cognos which is very, very powerful."
"The SAP SuccessFactors updates need to be more industry-specific because every industry has specific modules. What I want to be added to SAP SuccessFactors is a chat box where SAP staff can give support to users."
"One area for improvement is making SuccessFactors more compatible with other countries, especially in terms of payroll and other functionalities."
"Everything, including the provisioning dependency, should be moved to the instance, and coding should be kept to a minimum. Wherever possible, coding should be minimized, and everything should be a drag-and-drop."
"There have been cases involving a lot of re-implementations and frustrations within clients where they have the workbook sessions, the workbook workshops and things like that. And I think that doesn't really go down well because the workbooks are very technical and, a lot of times, very confusing for the client."
"The reporting and cloud integration could be done better in this solution."
"I would like to be able to configure objects from instances, not from import and export files."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I am not aware of the price because I was working in the implementation team, but pricing is generally based on the requirement, modules, headcount, and country."
"Their customized solution is pretty expensive but much cheaper than its competitors."
"This solution is priced in the middle compared to other solutions on the market."
"I have raised change requests for some modules within SuccessFactors. For example, when you're using Recruiting Management, there's a feature called Interview Central you can use to reach the candidates you're interviewing. I wanted to add a writing assessment when I select the competency on that platform. It varies from consultant to consultant, depending on what module they use."
"For SAP, the product is pricey, both CAPEX and the OPEX. It's something that could be improved."
"The pricing for SuccessFactors is ridiculously high, and there are costs in addition to the license fee for some features."
"I don't want to comment on the license cost, to be honest. It could be about $1,000 approximately per customer. However, it's very flexible in terms of the licensing costs depending on the volume and depending on the deal of installation."
"It is not cheap, but it is reasonable."
"SAP SuccessFactors requires an annual subscription."
"Due to the way in which we purchased SuccessFactors as a module along with other SAP modules, we were able to procure it at a slightly better price than usual. I would rate their pricing 5/5 stars."
"The price of the solution is highly expensive."
