Find out in this report how the two Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The product is really good, and it is easy to use. It comes with multiple integrations. The solution keeps up with the trend of Microsoft Copilot and AI."
"Its integration capabilities are valuable. It has low code/no code features. You have to do minimal coding."
"Kofax TotalAgility is a single package. They provide you with OCR capabilities, BPM capabilities, and case manager features."
"It's not so complex to design what you need to."
"It's a growing tool that offers a complete package of BPM, case management, and capture capabilities."
"The most valuable features of this solution are automation, ease of billing processes with the process net, and low to no code development."
"Now it has an OCR, optical character recognition, engine where it can extract data from the document."
"One feature I like is that it makes the matrix easy for an unstructured document."
"UiPath's Document Understanding significantly reduces the effort needed to train a machine-learning model for our documents."
"For me, the most valuable aspects of UiPath Document Understanding are its time efficiency and minimal human intervention."
"AI Center is helpful for creating data sets. Machine learning helps with some extraction. The ML extractor gives good results after training."
"The solution is quite stable, and I am happy with its performance in my programs and processes."
"The entity-level extraction is very good. The workflow is also very good."
"In UiPath Document Understanding, I use two extractors. One is the Intelligent Form Extractor and the other is the Machine Learning Extractor. The first one is very useful and user-friendly. When we have a single template or two to three templates, Intelligent Form Extractor is much easier to use. But if we have multiple templates, it's better to go with ML Extractor as you can train the model with different templates."
"UiPath Document Understanding's image file extraction feature is the best in any OCR solution."
"I like UiPath's machine-learning capabilities. My first impressions were good, but we only use it in a few processes. We intend to expand our use of these features in other situations, but we're still learning how to use the AI functions. We use the OCR much more."
"Kofax should improve its handwritten extractions."
"There needs to be more accessible certification and better pricing."
"Room for improvement would be better OCR functionality in terms of Arabic OCR. There should be better accuracy."
"Kofax needs to improve the low-code or citizen developers."
"Kofax TotalAgility is quite vast and complex as a product. We came from Kofax Capture and Kofax Transformation, then we started learning Kofax TotalAgility, so there are a lot of things that were quite straightforward in the Kofax Capture and Kofax Transformation cross-motion modules, but to do those in Kofax TotalAgility was a bit more complex or quite long-winded and could be improved. In the next release of Kofax TotalAgility, it would be good to have a straightforward low-code or no-code process because there were instances we struggled with having to put logic into a script or a .NET script, then calling that script, instead of the process being low-code, no-code."
"Lacks sufficient inbuilt features."
"The pricing for Kofax TotalAgility could be more attractive, particularly the cloud version of the solution which was offered to my company. This is its area for improvement."
"Sometimes there isn't enough accuracy when it comes to extracts."
"The rising annual licensing cost of UiPath's Document Understanding product is a major turnoff for users."
"Sometimes we have challenges when we need to read something like a barcode, so we must use the Cisco algorithm to solve the issue, or I have to ask developers for help specifically to capture this kind of information. There are other processes, such as refunds, that we still must do manually because there is no way to use automation to solve this issue."
"The machine learning model needs improvement, as we receive more and more unstructured documents from clients that require a lot of manual validation."
"I would like more flexibility in Document Understanding's validation center."
"The solution must localize the built-in features for supporting Arabic scripts so we do not rely on third-party tools."
"There is room for improvement in handwriting processes."
"There is also room for improvement in long-running table extraction. If a table continues for more than 10 pages, in some cases, we have observed that it only extracts six or seven pages and skips the last pages."
"The signature and handwriting are a pain point for the OCR and have room for improvement."
